This kid looks like the real deal for sure. Seems a little taller/bigger than Wiggins. Next year will show whether or not he is more aggressive mentally than Wiggins....

Interestingly, his game reminds me a lot of ... Chandler Parsons ... but with the potential to have a much better handle and more athleticism .... which would make him the player Chandler Parsons thinks he is ... a top 5 SF.

NBAdraft.net still lists him as SF/PF. I guess he could PF the way some guys do now, but his skill-set is classic SF.

I think going to a program like LSU is a good choice. Not sure I'd have chosen LSU, but a program like that, as opposed to going to a Kentucky or Duke.

Glad to see Bill Simmons' son getting some press.

I wonder if Bill will write about him a lot when he makes the pros.

I buy this guy's talent. What I want to know now is if he competes. If he fights harder than his opponent with that 3 way offensive talent and useful defensive talent, he'll be really good. He's got quick hands, deceptive speed, explosive leaping ability, he understands angles, and his handles are good at his size.

Hope to be there in the front row, want to see up close how good the young LSU squad looks after first month of play with those two freshman leading the way among other talent.

LSU main weakness is they have not that many reliable big men.

I know he was playing the Washington Generals here, but he does look like an NBA prospect. Nice fundamentals, IQ, size, and athleticism. Will be fun to see how he handles some competition.

Yes, his Dad is Dave Simmons. An American import that played Center for the Melbourne Tigers in Australia's NBL a couple of decades ago.

Dave Simmons naturalized and stayed in Australia. And Ben Simmons grew up here.

Highlights made me think of a Paul George like player.

Need to see how he looks against much better competition. I'm impressed, but he didn't look like obvious, no doubt #1 pick type thing.

You just haven't seen enough of Simmons yet. Tune in tonight on ESPNU. Ben could very well be the best passing prospect in the entire draft. This is a kid that routinely makes the right play time and time again and as such is a joy for teammates to play with. Not to mention he's absolutely lethal offensively, and has proven to have the defensive versatility to guard both Anthony Davis and James Harden as shown during the Nike Basketball Academy this summer. Simply put the kid is a can't miss superstar and surefire top 2 pick in next year's draft.
