I thought he was done -- he looks as good as ever on the FIBA stage.

Miss this dude on the Rockets. Fierce competitor, nice dude.

Scola has always been a terrific international player. This is nothing new.

Being from Argentina I can tell you this is standard Scola level for international competition. He is among the top 5 World Cup scorers of all time

Scola should be in the same discussion for one of the greatest athletes in Argentina along with Manu Ginobili, Lionel Messi, Diego Maradona, Sergio Martinez, and Marcos Maidana (IF he knocks out Floyd Mayweather).

Guys I actually think Scola should actually get HOF consideration for his international play (not his NBA play obviously). That's how good he is, and has been internationally for the past 14 or so years. I'm not sure why anyone would be surprised at him balling at the world cup.

Terrence Jones has no post up game or reliable mid range jumper. I'd like to know the logic behind this statement:confused:

Yes because he was one of the worst rotation players in the NBA last year.

Just playing devil's advocate here. Cisco is averaging the 0.5 points more than Scola and the league's 2nd best ppg. Should we get excited about that? Just adding some perspective.

Sergio "Manteca" Martínez? Sorry, Uruguayan ;)

Now really, Scola is a beast internationally. He's been the heart and soul of the Argentine national team for a few years now. Unfortunately, I doubt Argentina will go too far this time, but they'll go as far as Scola takes them. And it'll be amazing to watch.
