Lithuania will tank against Slovenia, better to finish 3rd than 2nd in that group

4 teams go through. So it would be very surprising if they didn't.

Lithuania might start tanking now or at least throw the game against Slovenia. No.2 & No.4 seeds in their group face Team USA early in the final round.

But if they win agains Slovenia Lithuania could end up 1st in the group. It's all about +/-

That's ok, all we need is for D-Mo to do well for the Rockets.:)

    This.

I would almost go as far to say he's the best player not in the NBA. Apparently knocked back a contract with the Grizzlies last year, I would assume because he's on some good money already. Has been Australia's best player so far this tournament and was in the Olympics too. Think he would make a handy NBA player, can shoot and penetrate... almost a left handed Parsons the way he plays. Has great length too and seems a good defender.. although against lesser quality I normally see him.

That was false. The Grizzlies never offered him a deal, Joel said it himself.

He was in the doghouse last season with Maccabi and their new coach only resigned a week ago because of safety concerns over the Gaza conflict. I wouldn't be surprised if this NBA talk was his agent trying to rustle up another deal in Europe to get him out of Israel.

We are DMo only fans to the Lithuanian team. We don't care what that team does, just want to see DMo do well. :)

he deserves a shot, and would be way cheaper than the greek guy on 5 mill a year....

two international tournaments in a row he has been fabulous on offense, there is no reason he shouldn't at least get a shot at it......

haha, I love these Aussie FIBA announcers

    On DMo - "I don't know why he isn't an all-star already"

After consecutive offensive fouls - " This American ref doesn't like illegal screens, does he?"

    Impressive court vision

DMo closes the 1st half with back to back to back passes out of the high post for easy layups/dunks!

Funny moment where he goes to bench smiling, but his coach berates him for his defense instead

Alright, I'm convinced we need to stick DMo in the high post with Dwight. Dude was delivering good passes allowing JV to operate above the rim.

Absolutely tearing up Korea now, 10pts in the 4th (so far) leading the way with 18pts on 9/13, 5rbs 5 assists!

    -----------------

    18/7/5

Dominance by DMo, I hope we get a highlight reel of that 4th quarter!

Oddly Lithuania didn't shoot a single FT!

DMo had probably one of the best assists of the tournament in the 4th quarter on a fast break behind the back pass.
