What was it, 6 - 5 months ago we thought Dwight's career will end because of knee? 30 million a year is not happening.

Indeed depends on how the season goes, but if and his agent are going to be an ass about this and demand max money and play hard ball, he can just leave.

Stop It, he's only going to get worse as he ages. There is only 1 players in the league worth $30 mln (LeBron).

I'd rather be a lottery team, than pay him $30 mln for a player that does absolutely zero in the off season to improve his game besides lift weights.

Are you, because I haven't seen him add one thing to his offensive game since he's been here.

Just my own conjecture, but I think there's a decent chance Dwight opts out and resigns for a 1+1 deal on a slightly below market salary. This gives us just enough wiggle room to sign Durant and keep a healthy portion of our roster. The cost for this is that we have to resign Dwight to a long term deal in 2017, but if you've got Lawson, Harden, Durant, and Dwight, plus several young players like Capela, McDaniels, etc., who cares?

when you enter a team at 10 years, players don't "add" anything to their games. that doesn't happen. I guess that's surprising to you when it shouldn't be.

The question will be: is Playoffs Dwight worth $30m, and will Playoffs Dwight continue to exist into his 30s?

Okc without Durant couldnt even make the playoffs compared to Houston who got 2nd place despite Howard missing 1/3 of the season and almost all back to backs. Maybe he wont sign with Houston but objectively speaking Houston is better than OOC even without Howard.

I believe Howard missed fully 1/2 the season, only played in 41 games.
