It is a nice game. Not great but it will keep me occupied untill the witcher 3 (since i have 2 small children and very little time to play anyway). It ia much better than dragon age 2 , but that is easy. I like it but the gameplay is not great.
Oh hey, didn't know we had a Clutchfans thread for this. One of my recent favorites, started playing a week after release and went for about 3 weeks. But I'm a Bioware w**** who will even defend DA2 and Mass Effect 3, so of course I was going to love it. Spoiler The only minor disappointment for me was that only a few of the past companions made an appearance (compared to, say, ME3 where everyone Shepard ever met seems to cameo in the game). I wanted some damn Oghren. Meeting Hawke was awesome. The hard choice on who to save in Hawke's mission is rendered somewhat less emotional when your game is set up so that Stroud is a choice though. I was just like "okay, how about this guy with half an hour of screen time dies instead of my own personal ex-player character!" Everything else was pretty slick, and it's the least bored I've ever been with a game longer than 60 hours.
I barely even started single player. I did hear it's huge. As far as comparing it to Diablo 3, I assume you mean the MP aspect of it. I, personally, didn't enjoy D3 much. Both games have repetitive natures in how you play them, but D3 seemed more completely mindless combat. In DA:I, you actually need to work together for the most part. In DA, you have 3 beginning classes/chars, and you unlock many others, each with a unique way of playing. For example, the reaver class is one that sacrifices it's own health to do more damage, and can self heal to an extent. So to get the most out of the class, you have to be on the edge of death, which is cool.
