Yah been doing some research it looks like Cameron Payne will be there for us at 18 He seems like a great fit and a moreyish move Only way we don't draft him is if someone higher has a big fall?
Heard talk that he could be this years Damian lillard Who was projected to go much lower until the last few weeks... And Portland "reached" same could happen here. He could go in top 14 to heat or okc they usually do a great job scouting
Looks like he got a promise by okc at 14 nd impressed the pacers in his workour. No way he falls to 18 now.
TJones + KPap + Prigs + 1st would probably net you a Rubio or someone like that but then we're out of the Durant bidding. I think Morey's gonna chip in on a big hand. He's gonna get someone that can put us over GS is he's gonna put all his chips in the middle. He'll probably draft a PG. Play a healthy dose of Bev, Llull, Rookie PG . The thing I want to know is what's gonna happen to Brewer, Smith, and Jones.
Injury prone <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Cameron Payne Fractures Finger in Denver Nuggets Workout: <a href="http://t.co/7AG7Sa8ktq">http://t.co/7AG7Sa8ktq</a> <a href="http://t.co/OFwSjX54dI">pic.twitter.com/OFwSjX54dI</a></p>— Jonathan Givony (@DraftExpress) <a href="https://twitter.com/DraftExpress/status/611944539872436225">June 19, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Cameron Payne suffered a non-displaced fracture in the ring finger of his right (off) hand in a workout in Denver on Monday. After seeing a hand specialist in New York, it was determined that Payne suffered a clean fracture which will not require surgery, and will sit out the next three weeks as a precautionary measure. His hand is currently in a splint, not a cast. “Cam continued to work out even after suffering the injury in Denver, and he could probably play in a meaningful game tomorrow if he needed to,” his agent Travis King told us, adding that the precise timetable for his return will be set after an additional visit with a specialist next week. Payne completed his workout schedule with his visit to Denver and was not planning on traveling to see any more NBA teams. Teams he already worked out for (besides the Nuggets) include the Los Angeles Lakers, the Sacramento Kings and the Indiana Pacers. He has also visited the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Utah Jazz and the Boston Celtics so far, but did not conduct a workout there. According to Payne's camp, he has received strong indications that will be the third point guard drafted next Thursday, and had already received his invitation to the NBA Green Room prior to the setback in Denver. He is planning on attending the draft. According to NBA sources we've spoken with, a number of teams could attempt to move up and trade for Payne depending on how the lottery shakes out. His status for summer league will be determined by the doctor's timetable, as well as which team drafts him. The Vegas Summer league ends on July 20th, giving him ample time to return if needed. Thunder practice streamed on Periscope, 9:00 mark Cam Payne drops fellow Thunder 1st rd pick Josh Huestis. Apparently, Steve Novak is nice at 1 on 1, killing dudes and telling them "Call me Detlef." https://www.periscope.tv/w/1mnxeBWbykYKX
How can he be a steal if no one picked him yet? Whether he's going to be a steal or not will be decided by which place he's going to picked at and how he performs afterwards. For example, Porzingis seems like a total steal. Got picked 4th but seems to have the highest ceiling and already is performing on par with the number one pick.
I don't think he did well last year, but as for this year, he had foot surgery in August. He has missed the entire season up to this point. http://www.nba.com/article/2017/09/...meron-payne-has-foot-surgery-out-3-4-months#/
