It's kind of crazy that college football has become something of a free agency sport thanks to the graduate transfer rules, particularly when it comes to quarterbacks. The graduate transfer QB market has already been pretty active. Trevor Knight (Oklahoma) is heading to A&M Austin Appleby (formerly of Purdue) is on his way to Florida Danny Etling (also formerly of Purdue) is headed to LSU (on a side note, it's kind of nuts that the SEC might have two starting QBs next season who lost a QB competition at Purdue) Dakota Prukop (Montana St.) is trying to follow in Vernon Adams's footsteps by going from FCS standout to Oregon starting QB Alec Morris (Alabama) is on his way to UNT Others that have announced they are transferring: Chad Voytik (former starter at Pitt) Davis Webb (former starter at Texas Tech) It's interesting that not only has this become relatively commonplace, but the players are starting to consider being a graduate transfer long before they actually graduate. For example, Blake Barnett's father, whose son just finished his freshman season at Alabama, has already more or less made it clear that Blake is going to accelerate his undergraduate studies in order to be available as a grad transfer. The father of Ricky Town, who just finished his freshman season at USC, has said the same. Anyway, feel free to add any others that I'm missing.
