Damn you Googrux, now I will feel a bit guilty when criticizing him for being a cheap flopper.....ok maybe not :p . Good read though.

Cool article. The part about him being "good-looking" made me laugh.

Pau Gasol is awesome, truly the force behind the Lakers resurgence. Upon acquiring Gasol they immediately went 22 and 5 and made the NBA finals after having only managed to fail in the first round and miss the playoffs completely. Many metrics have Gasol as the best Laker the past two seasons, including PER which he lead the Lakers in last year and win shares which he has lead the Lakers in the past two.

And it seems he’s a good guy too, can’t say the same for Kobe Bryant.

he's not a doctor. He shouldn't be called Dr. Gasol. Plenty of ppl try damn hard to be a doctor and they don't get to be called one until after 4 damn tough years of med school.

another reason to hate the lakers in my book

Respect for Pau. It's great that he is not giving up on his dream to become a bonafide doctor.

I still hate the Lakers though :) .

I don't see how him wanting to go to med school makes him any more likeable. Lots of people want to go to med school. In Europe it's a different system because they start you off so young, the weedout process occurs along the way, and the competition overall is less because the payoff is also less; to do well in the first year means nothing in comparison to actually getting in and being able to survive a year of med school in America.

Chris Duhon when he gets out of the NBA wants to coach. Shaq wants to be a cop. Battier hasn't revealed anything but even blind Rockets fans can see a future in the front office for him. Players have a life after basketball, and good job to those who can start thinking about it while they're still playing.

The Lakers were #1 in the west when they acquired Gasol.

Still I think thats a catch phrase here.
90 percent of NBA players do not have it. They don't need to be of course.

Since he came into the limelight, Pau was a favorite of mine. From his political ideals, to what he aspired to be as a person, he was genuine.
When I met him in 2006 it made my entire month.

But now he is a laker. He might as well be fighting for al qaeda? al- keeda? Al-caida?
Maybe I should direct all my anger towards memphis management. Oh well, one thing is certain, kobe would still be exiting the playoffs without pau. Spanish fly deserves as much credit for those championships as kobe.

one final thought, dr. kevorkian was a doctor.
