of the Mavs. I know how much people complain about our staff, but look at what is going in with Parsons right now. I wrote this before the game: How's that for a major screw up? The guy tests his knee full speed in practice, once, and literally is cleared to play the next day. This, after he just had a setback Sunday. SMH. I'm sure Chandler was pushing to play as well though. Big mistake. He could now be playing on a bad knee all series. They should have sat him out until at least game two, IMO, after a couple practices. http://espn.go.com/dallas/nba/story...andler-parsons-knee-plans-play-playoff-opener I guess the moral of the story is, we're not the only team that feels pressure to keep players happy and field a winning team. They pretty much went against everything said here earlier in the week:http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas-mave...1/concern-grows-after-parsons-suffers-setback
@clutchfans: While we were talking to Carlisle, Chandler Parsons walked down the hall and Rockets trainer Keith Jones was clearly consoling him. i dunno if I'm fine with our trainer helping the visiting team but then again Keith Jones clearly doesn't know anything, he may just make it worse.
I don't have a problem with this. No matter what Keith Jones says he isn't playing. Jones just showing him HTOWN still real and even though you had to go get paid you know where the real love is.
Game 1 wasnt winnable for them, IMO. Maybe tonight, but not game 1, not the way Houston has played, when the needed a big game this season and not after Cuban's comments. They should have sat Chandler and hoped he proved he was healthy in more practices.
I think it's relevant to what Houston has gone through. It's easy to blame a staff, like many here do, but I think we fail to see how stubborn players can be and how important winning is. There's more to clearing players than the staff guaranteeing they're 100%. CP said all the right things in the second link in the OP and then basically ignored his own advice. A rookie mistake the team inexplicably allowed him to make. Its something to think about going forward with our injuries, and well, it does affect Houston for the next week or so, given that we're playing them in a series. It's kind of interesting how it's shaping up much like dwight's own injury.

Since they don't even know what kind of surgery he will need yet, it seems hard to say that he would have had to have surgery regardless of game one.
