Internet TV is finally changing the landscape of TV viewing!

PLUTO TV is a decent alternative to this as well.

They were funded $13 million last year.

To stock investors, remember that content is king!

All I need is a complete sports package. ESPN, NFL Network, NBATV, Soccer Channels and I'd be set and could dump paying out the ass for 500 channels I never watch.

That is an excellent lineup for $20/month

Will it include access to ESPN3?

Also, I'm surprised Chromecast isn't supported (Is browsing through an Android app a gamebreaker?)

    Channels I need

    ESPN
    ESPN2
    TNT
    Cartoon Network (Adult Swim)
    NBA TV
    ROOT Sports
    Fox
    NBC
    ABC
    CBS
    TBS
    Comedy Central
    ESPNNEWS
    FXX

Other than those channels (not even all of them I'd need tbh) I rarely watch anything else. I wish a la carte existed

I doubt we'll see any ala carte packages soon, but HBO has already decided to go ahead and do HBO Go access without having to have the channel as part of a package, so others may follow suit in some capacity.

Just give me ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, TNT, NBCSN, NFL Network, FS1/2 and BeIN Sports and I'm good to go. Who cares about CNN and the rest of the crappy cable bunch?

"Just don't count on sharing it with anyone: there's a single-stream limit at all times."

So only one TV at a time in your own home?

Is there a date for this?

They are working to get it done before Game of Thrones starts, so look for it in April.

I wish the Rockets would offer their own streaming service. That way, i could cancel cable altogether. I am happy to see things moving this direction but that channel lineup ain't gonna cut it. I am already pissed enough having to pay for those channels.

And I DEFINITELY don't need AMC...

Ballstreams works well enough for me. I use it on my PS4 to watch every game, plus you get to see all the other NBA teams.

That in combination with Hulu Plus (get a 1 year subscription on ebay for like $25), Netflix, a shared Vudu account (thanks, you know who you are!), amazon instant streaming, and an OTA antenna I'm rarely missing out.

Sometimes I do want to cave in to those cheap Uverse offers though. I'll likely end up getting this. It's worth the $20 in my opinion.

They can definitely grow from this and add more channels in the future. Glad to see that one of the big cable/satellite companies is deciding to do something like this. Hopefully it'll open up competition between other providers and we can get more channels.

Looks like the answer to this is Yes. So I wonder, could I have two SlingTV subscriptions running at the same time on the same wifi/internet? My wife using one in the living and me using another in another room at the same time?

I need a stupid combination of channels to support my now 30yr old tendencies. That means ESPN, ESPN2, ROOT, HGTV, and FOOD. I guess that means I just don't have TV, haha. I can't wAit to leave houston and finally get NBA LP without the Rockets being blacked out.

As long as your router can handle that kind of traffic, it should work that way.
