In Houston? Parsons. I feel like Patterson will be one of the main chips in a big deal.

The thing is Parsons is better than PPat now and he is a rook.

Sounds like McHale is high on PPat and will work with him in a big way in the off-season ...

    But yes, Parsons ...

They're both Rockets. They're both young. They both have a ton of potential. I want both to succeed. I'm not going to just come out and say one will be better than the other after less than 2 seasons into their careers.

I will say this though. Both will have better careers than Terrence Williams.

Looking forward to the work PPat and McHale will put in before the start of next season.

Sophomore slumps. Ya'll ever heard of them?

Clutchfans would probably have voted to trade Brian Cushing away for a bag of cheesy puffs after he missed four games in his second year due to 'roids and then sucked when he came back.

Stick with Patterson people. It's what Jesus would do.

You guys have to remember Patterson was unable to work with the Rockets during the Summer due to the lockout. I expect him to improve his game during the off season, so it's not the best time to deal him (if Morey plans to). Until then he's a nice replacement/backup for Scola.

I think people are really forgetting how good rookie patterson was. he was a consistent shooter and a pretty good rebounder and defender. You can really tell how his surgery affected him this season and He's in a sophmore slump right now.

if you compare rookie pat to parsons

    patterson 52 games (6 starts)
    16.7 mpg
    .558 field %
    .714 ft %
    3.9 rpg
    6.3 ppg

    parsons 55 games (48 starts)
    28.3 mpg
    .457 field %
    .515 ft %
    3.4 rpg
    9.1 ppg

I'm giving potential to patterson because Once he develops a post game and gets back to his athletic self, he'll be a damn good player. If he does this, then patterson will have a better career, if not, then parsons it is because he does what he's suppose to do and he does it pretty good.

Both are going to be good.... and the margin slim at the beginning.....
Patterson is a post player.... while Parsons will be a perimeter one.....

PPat just had ankle surgery this off season and I think it's effecting him this year. Let's wait until next season to judge him. I think both guys are good players with great potential.
