with our veteran backcourt and our role players filling in, it appears that we do not make too many mistakes any longer (to's, fts during crunch time, defensive collapses, technical fouls etc.)

Obviously, San Antonio has to be considered the smartest team but as of late, we are right up there

    thoughts?

the Suns just overpower people (turnovers be damned) - but the Sonics, Grizz, and Kings are all pretty smart

... all Western Conference teams I might add

Actually, the Suns have less TOs than us(10th to 14th), and that's playing at their ridiculous pace too. One of the most underrated part of Nash's game has been his ability to cut turnovers. Dallas has always ranked among the best in TOs despite their pace. And now Phoenix is doing the same.

The oldest team has to be one of the smartest.

Yao apparently has some trouble remembering how many fouls he has

The smartest team would have done better to find a way to hand its highest percentage shooter more buckets.

It sure would be nice if said player could stay on the court longer than 31 minutes.

If you played the same number of minutes as T-Mac, he'd be averaging 16.4 FGA per game. Let's subtract 2 of those extra 4 shots from McGrady's totals, and you're looking at 16 FGA for Yao and 19 FGA for T-Mac.

That sounds about right to me.

Yao needs to learn to stay on the floor.

Yao does need to learn how to stay on the floor, but not by that much. 42 minutes per game is just too much for a 7'6 guy, unless he doesn't play defense at all.
