What part of his game is really making defenses pay? Is it his PPS of .8 (bottom 5% of the NBA) Is it his 39% FG shooting? (bottom 10 % of the NBA) Is it his 37% FT shooting? Is it that his FG% under the basket has gone from 66% to 57% over the last few years? Is it that the +/- shows that the Celtics are better when Rondo isn't on the floor? Is it that his defense has steadily eroded over the last 4 years?
i wonder how he'll be surrounded by some of the players on this team then. you realize boston's team is pretty terrible
First of all I do not want Rondo any where near this team but if they do get him, no way would I include Jones or DMo. Maybe, I would give up Nick Johnson and a first but that is it. I would not even give up the NO first. It would be one of our own first in whatever year we are able to first trade one. The guy is such an offensive liability and potential locker room cancer that his value is low. Let the Mavs or some other stupid team overpay. Now, if we could land Dragic for your offer then I would consider it.
December and January both have 31 days. So wouldn't the flipper deadline be December 21st instead of December 19th?
how interesting that if you just looked at that you would think it's someone trying to make the league, yet he's still one of the top half better pg's in the league.
I think this is the sticking point, and perhaps what Morey is waiting on? If he can pull that off, he truly is a wizard.
Come playoff time, when defenses have elite perimeter defenders, those 3 point shots are going to dry up. You'll need another person who can create for others outside of Harden. Also, in order to beat the likes of Memphis, OKC, LAC, etc in a 7-game playoff series, you have to have elite defense from your PG position. Imagine 48 minutes of pure hell for opposing PGs when we sick Rondo AND Beverley on them.
And then imagine having the worst FT shooting team in the playoffs and having to trade away Bev before he walks because you foolishly put him on the bench for a guy who shoots like a drunken 12 year old who has to completely dominate the ball to have any value whatsoever on offense that is about to turn 29 that hasn't been able to stay healthy since he was 23
everyone that brings up he would not improve chemistry. how do yall now that? do you guys them personally and how they interact with each other.
Which was a problem, thankfully he's rebounding towards his career average of 78%. Rondo's career average is 4 points higher than Dwight Howard's.
