Hate for Dwight Harden is not warranted. He played well here and we were fairly successful. I don't think he is good enough to be a max player and the secondary piece to a Rockets championship, but if he takes a small and short contract, and we can sign two other max core pieces, I would welcome him back, even give him big dollars next year since we will be over the cap operators.
It is warranted because he quit on us last year, he didnt have to admit it publicly because it was so obvious he checked out after the all star break. You cant quit on the tea and expect no hate back, add that he just cant work on fundamentals or free throws and stays in the weight room shows hhis inability to think for the team ...hate is def warranted and deserved
The baggage that came with Dwight as far as issues, particularly mentally was well known before he arrived. When losing happens, the extremely frustrating side of him comes out. Some guys just don't deal with it well at all. Some eventually learn maturity and deal with it and some never do. But I still won't let last season's disappointing year by everyone on the team just define what hes done & how he helped Houston achieve the best sucuess they've had in quite some time prior to this year.
Can Dwight play in the triangle? http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sources--knicks-acquire-derrick-rose-192657038.html For the Knicks, they're free to pursue two more Bulls in free agency to fortify the frontcourt: Joakim Noah and Pau Gasol. Gasol has a strong relationship with Knicks president Phil Jackson, with whom Gasol won two titles as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. The arrival of Lopez – partnered with Bobby Portis and Nikola Mirotic – will likely end the tenures of Noah and Gasol in Chicago. Another possible free-agent target for the Knicks: center Dwight Howard.
No. And Rose? I'd say no...at this point i'm not sure how much this is the Phil show though...Hornacek does not seem to be 100% his choice to me...
Really glad he is gone. Was seriously worried he would opt in. The sooner this team completely makes itself over the better!
I see him in a knicks or spurs uniform next season at less than max salary. enjoy your ride Mr. Howard while we watch Capella struggle to rebound and control the paint as our starting center next season

[rQUOTEr]At his basketball camp, Rockets guard James Harden said he hadn't spoken with Dwight Howard regarding his decision to leave the team and test the free agent market. "He's his own man, he knows what's best for his career," Harden said Thursday. "I haven't really talked to him, he'll make whatever is the best decision (for him)."[/rQUOTEr]
