Blake Griffin and Kawhi Leonard have never been in the running (realistically) for MVP. How is the players MVP not listed for you? Defense must weigh heavily for you. Harden is a winner, without a doubt. Griffin... not as much. Though they both play about equal defense. I just don't get the slight here. Also, Dirk deserves a place. Other than Hakeem, Jordan, and Dwayne, he was the only finals player that I remember being unstoppable for a series. Kobe was also at the top of his game during the LeBron era.

I listed 8 guys and left two spots open. I reserve the right to change my mind. :)

Yes. Plays one end well, gives it back on the other.

Playing by OP rules, Dirk is ineligible as he was drafted in 1998.

Starting five of Howard, James, Durant, Wade, and Curry with Gasol, Griffin, George, Harden, and Westbrook coming off the bench, and Davis and Leonard on reserve.

do you mean leads the 20-20 category out of this generation? He is not the all-time leader in 20 point 20 rebound games.. I don't have the list in front of me but I can imagine there are at least 7-10 guys infront of him on that leader board.

My list is based on the team and personal achievement , with the emphasis on the team achievement because of the impact of the player,

LeBron James -- most impact player in the last decade
Dwight Howard -- right next to LJ, in terms of the impact to the team & result.
Dwyane Wade -- cannot argue with the 3 titles.
Kevin Durant -- went to the final, most impact player to OKC.
Steph Curry -- If GSW win this season, he should be up there with DH, right behind LJ.
Kawhi -- Like Curry, he needs to play a couple more years at this level to stay on the list.
Chris Bosh -- Team achievement wise, great all around player.
Paul George -- Same as Kawhi, needs a couple more years high level play to justify his worth.

I cannot think of anyone else who come close to above guys over the past decade.

Bro if Steph wins another one he will be ahead of James. If steph continues this throughout the rest of his career he will probably be compared to MJ(even though I don't think his defense is anything to brag about)

Lebron so 2-4 record in the playoffs will always hurt his image when being compared to MJ and Kobe.

Lebron has higher VORP, PER, trails him by 20 win shares despite being 9 years younger. He will pass him in Playoff win shares this year despite being 9 year younger. He also has a much higher career box plus. Other than rings argument I don't see how you can say Duncan was better than Lebron, because the stats don't support it.

I'm sure in time Davis will be worthy of that list, but right now I wouldn't include him. He hasn't done enough IMO.

And due to injuries he hasn't done anything since. Could be one of the only (if not ONLY) MVP recipient that will not be a HOFer.

Damn. I always figured Shaq/Barkley would have this by a huge margin but guess not.
