Watch how you drive when you have weed in your car.

    Should be legal anyway.

The stuff is legal in Colorado not California.

    I think they knew that.

they should have just moved to Colorado.

instead they got caught for (alleged) drug trafficking through a state where it is still illegal.

It is a shame that they are going to throw their lives away because a plant is illegal. I don't feel sorry for them though, they knew the consequences and practices of the police in the area.

Also not seeing the problem. Transporting enough to deal across state lines -- to make it a federal issue where the DEA could be involved -- into states where the sale and possession are illegal.

Meanwhile, they endanger the legal pot market in Colorado which is currently being tolerated by the Feds only insofar as their drug trade doesn't spill over state lines. If drug dealers like these guys become too numerous and problematic, I can easily envision the Feds killing Colorado's mar1juana market. Both supporters and opponents of legalization should be glad for the bust, but probably supporters more than opponents. Colorado needs to be able to show they can do this without causing collateral damage to neighboring states.

(Also, it's very annoying how papers always quote the maximum allowable penalty. There's a huge range here between 2 years and life in prison.)

it's hightimes.com, where the men are written as victims of civil rights violations for being illegally stopped and described as acting nervous, and being suspect of doing the very thing they were doing.

    agree with your post.

So you agree those drugs are bad and your solution is to also legalize pot?

Drugs do have the ability to cause harm, which is one of the reasons they should be legal, so that the people responsible for distributing them are legitimate businesspeople motivated by the terms of their licensing agreement.

Wouldn't it be easier to just fly in a small plane into Colorado, load up and land at a small airport somewhere in your destination? You would avoid the hassle of made up charges by police.
