If the Kevin Martin deal falls through, what will happen to Budinger? Martin almost replaces everything that CBud does and his playing time will most likely be diminished. Maybe Morey has a trick up his sleeve where he packages Battier in a trade for a legit 4?

If Morey gets us Kmart and a legit PF by tomorrow. Jedi Mind trick status.

I'm hoping Morey will make another move as well. We have too many guard and small forwards now.

    chase isn't a 2, martin is...

It really isnt as clogged up as people think, since when did 4 rotational players for 2 spots become clogged? A starter and a back up in each spot...now we'll definitely have an overpaid back up somewhere and maybe that gets taken care of later during the summer, but for the rest of the season we should be ok with minutes distribution..

Battier will be heading out to a contender for an expiring and a pick soon.

Shane is a good value, what makes you think they would want to give him up?

Be ready to see a lot of Battier or Ariza playing as the "Stretch 4." Now that Landry is gone, I am assuming Chuck/Scola/Andersen will pick up some of his minutes, but one of the rather large wings the Rockets have will likely also pick up plenty of frontline minutes if matchups permit.

No matter what, unless Chuck+Scola play together a ton, the Rockets will probably have 4 3-pt shooters on the court for most of the game. It's gonna be very Orlando-like.

Depth might stunt growth, but in a head office standpoint, it's never a bad thing. I've not given up on JT yet. He's showing flashes to be a great scorer, but whether he fits our system or not, that's still out there.

I think there's space for Martin AND Budinger in the Rockets' plans.

Well, if Martin comes, Battier becomes expendable. There isn't anything wrong with having four rotational players but Budinger and Martin are repeats, so I was wondering what would happen to CBud's development and minutes.

do we know for a fact that battier's 7 mill would just be added to the 7 or 8 we'd have?

they're repeats, but at diff positions...i just dont think getting rid of battier this summer makes a difference, depends on how much more money that frees up...makes more sens to do it next year at the deadline.

not sure if that's going to work without a "howard-like" big...would make more sense if we kept landry istead of scola, but im not sure scola can get those guys open or score at will...landry may have fit better there..i guess maybe next yr with yao..

am sensing that too, I mean we all know that DM is great gm but giving up carl landry I really didn't expect it, I think he is really looking at Amare Stoudmire I really do, maybe a package of battier, Scola and other players....I don't know maybe am dreaming.

P.S. I'll miss you carl, love yo bro.
