You might want to check your numbers again.

Not at all, The Broncos have won exactly 2 playoff games with Manning and they were better set up to build a team around him than the Texans were. If the Texans gut their team for an old QB that chokes in the playoffs it wouldn't get them any further than they already got.

Surely you are not saying we are being off without Peyton, and criticizing their playoff runs?

I'm saying that the Broncos who were much better suited to absorb Peyton's contract and build a competitive roster around him couldn't get it done so there's no way the Texans would have if they'd have gutted their roster for Manning. Sure, we probably win more than 2 games last year if Manning managed to stay healthy behind our pathetic O line that allowed over 100 QB hits, but we wouldn't be in a better position to win a SB in the near future.

    Not necessary as they're correct.

Texans should've gutted Schaub. Peyton likely takes less money to sign with us because he really wanted to stick it to Indy. Remaining in the same division would've been gravy for him.

Yeah it was my mistake, I was thinking about the Texans over 3 years, not 2. I think you are overestimating how much he wanted to play in Houston expecting a pay cut to come here. Either way, the Texans wouldn't have gotten any further, and probably not even as far as the Broncos did.

Not to make Watt's stance look any less significant, but our very own Moestavern also doesn't get any ass due to fantasy football.

if Peyton only wanted to stick it to Indy, and taking less money, why he didnt sign with the Titans? the titans, did a lot to get Manning, even they already had a job in the organization so he could still with the team even after retired.

Peyton wanted money, and a great team (texans couldnt offer both).

and the news about Manning wanting to come to Houston, it was a rumor that someone heard from the friend of a friend, Peyton never mentioned it.

Not sure who said intra-division was the only reason, but Tennessee had a +8 point diff compared to our +103 in 2011.

Well damn. The Peyton in Houston theorists can never speak that again.. not with a straight face. I believed the rumor plus Kubiak's quote was so weak, but we never had a real chance.
