This is just a hypothetical question, so bare with me.
Let's just say that it were possible that the Rockets were able to trade the three players:
Royce White, who led a team of unheard of's to the tournament and gave the #1 team a run for their money almost single-handedly. A team of Melvin Ejim, Scott Christopherson, Chris Allen, Chris Babb, Anthony Booker, Percy Gibson, Tyrus Mcgee and Bubu Palo. Bubu, which is exactly what that team would have been without him

Terrence Jones, who was the #1 at Kentucky until he deferred for the team and a championship

and Jeremy Lamb who won a championship and also had to defer for the sake of the team

for Anthony Davis the #1 pick in the draft. Should they? Would you?
I have gone on record as saying No, i would not. That is just too steep a price. Any one of the 4 could turn out to be a star. The odds are better with three than they are with one. Just my opinion.

Everyday, twice on Sunday. Would you trade Mikael Pietrus, TJ Ford, and Nick Collison for Lebron? Lulz.

You'd probably trade all three rookies to get Jeffery Taylor.

Well hopefully you squeeze a second rounder out of them, but you're still only trading the picks for a #1. Technically, they haven't proven they should have been drafted higher.

In a heartbeat. At the very minimum Anthony Davis will be TD/KG lite and a multiple all star. He can very well be a franchise player.

Of course. But that's not a deal that would ever, ever be offered.

I agree with you. Our rookies have just as much of a chance to be all stars as davis does imo.

I really like Lamb. He will probably outplay a lot of guys picked ahead of him.

That said, Davis is special. I go with Davis over that package.

Hmm, some crappy mid round picks for the #1 overall. Tough call.

I feel like Davis is a perennial All-Star, DPOY type, but not a true superstar. That's definitely worth it, but it all depends on how you think our rookies will turn out - and I think all 3 are great talents/values for their draft positions.

If Lamb can be a borderline All-Star and White/Jones end up being high quality starters, then the answer is no.

Any one of our players could become a star...but Anthony Davis can become a franchise player.

    Yes. Any day.

you are basically comparing a superstar with a few players who may not be NBA ready.
