Agreed, I also think this will be a position that's looked at in the off season for a replacement along with our point guard position.

Ariza started taking more shots when the team was behind and the 1st & 2nd options werent doing anything. I dont like his inability to hit shots, but didnt have much problem with at least trying to make plays when no one else was. I think he chose the spots well enough

Ariza and TJones started jacking in the 3rd, Harden has to take command there, I think we still need a bit more leadership on the floor.

Whenever Ariza tries to make plays, bad things happen.

Ariza's offensive game consist of two things: (1) spot up 3, and (2) cutting to the basket.

When he sticks to those two things, he's a good contributor. When he tries to do anything beyond that, he's a liability.

He and Prigs were a large part the 12 point lead dwindled. They both took some horrible longer jumpers that led to transition points for Dallas.

This series is a bad matchup for him. There's no player on Dallas he can guard really. Dirk too tall and Barea too fast. He will show his value more in the next series I'm sure. Too bad he's not hitting his shots at least.

    Prigionni finish +3

    Prigionni Enter the game 1 QT 03:22 HOU 24-21 Exit Q2 07:03 HOU 41-36 +3

Prigionni enter the game 3 QT 05:37 Now the game is DAL 76-57 Without him 40-16 Run.

    Wrong guy to blame.

Dirk is taller but I think Ariza could still cause him some trouble. The problem is we also need him to guard monta ellis. It really is time for Harden to pick up his ability to guard.

I agree. I believe it was the coach call to take long two's where they saw some opening for Ariza. Its not typical Ariza. If he made some of those, it could make a difference in the outcome. Anyway, he was brought in for his defense not offense.

Ariza is at best our third option. You don't blame the third option when you lose. That's ridiculous. Ariza is a big part of why we're here in the 2nd seed, and if we lose it's not his fault.

He is bound to have a big game. I feel it tomorrow... 35 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assist, and 5 steals. Plus the game winner with 1 second on the clock.

My hate for him is regrowing. Someone please show me some advanced stats that tell me he helps the team even when he can't throw a stone in the ocean (aka every game).

    Never underestimate his offensive suckage.

He shot 26% from the field this series.

He might dip into the teens the next round.

Hope he finds his shot before the next series. His shooting sucked all series.
