Damn talk about mismanagement. I've never heard of a guy recover 100% after atherwhathisname surgery, but we've seen plenty of players become lesser guys after that process (namely Amare who went from superstar who can create his own shot to all star finisher totally dependent on Nash to set him up).

Parsons wasn't the quickest guy to begin with, he might turn into a scrub on the court after this surgery.

I never liked his body mechanics and told my wife after he started getting playing time that I didn't like his body mechanics and that he looked like he was going to have hip or leg troubles. I guess after 22 years of basketball and watching a thousand/s of players and seen tons of different injuries I have picked up something along the way. I never saw him as a good long-term investment. I guess I was right.

A note to Mavs fans patrolling this forum:

Microfracture surgery has pretty much been a problem here in Houston for about a decade, as the injury bug has affected a lot of our players. While you were getting one championship, we were fighting to get to the playoffs, because our starters kept getting hurt. Some of them required surgery too. Which at the time, sounded great. Oh, yes, let the doctors fix our broken player! We were all optimistic. The off season wasn't so bad because of the shreds of hope the Rockets organization fed us, and plus the news that our player was getting ready to come back! And now, you face the same problem. Parsons is out with an injury and may need microfracture surgery. Well, no biggie right? He will bounce back. He's young. Or so we thought as well.

As a courtesy, I will save you the trouble of playing the "if" and "maybe" game regarding Chandler Parsons' future career as an NBA starter/star. Once a player gets that surgery, they may never heal properly. And if they do heal, they won't ever be close to the player they were.

So is it fair to say that Ariza is better than Parsons... I mean... one of them can't even play.

He probably is a good guy...an interesting guy and you have to give him credit for where that franchise is now compared to before he bought them. Just hard to like him because of the intense hate I have for the Mavs and basically all Dallas sports teams

I thought Parsons was a pretty effective cheerleader. I saw him clap a few times. :p

Parsons is the better scorer. Ariza is the better defender. I would say they are about equal in ability to rebound.

Cuban has his good and bad. But his smug face during the game 4 4th quarter while they were winning was annoying.

The thing about Cuban that is both good and bad is that he likes to mix it up and instigate a back-and-forth with rivals. It's annoying but he does it well, and is willing to take it as well as dish it out.

That doesn't stop many of the things he says as being annoying.
