If he comes out this year into the NBA draft, would you want the Rockets taking him with a lottery pick? I think he has certainly helped himself in this years draft by not falling off in conference play.

    Stats: 22.8 pts, 2.5 asst, 2.2 to, 6.1 reb, 1.7 stl as of 2/23

no way the Rockets take Anderson with a lottery pick...they will probably look for a big man...

    one of these players
    Cousins
    Whiteside
    Monroe
    Patterson
    Favors
    Udoh
    Aldrich
    Larry Sanders
maybe Aminu? he's inbetween SF and PF...

    Add Motiejunas to that list.

Stanley Robinson can play both the 3 and the 4, I would consider him too.

I don't see how he would make it into the lottery with all of the big potential players in the draft this year, but I would love for the Rockets to get a pick in the early 20's and draft him. Statistically he is amazing, PER of 30.7 (10th), TS% of 62 (25th), PPP of 1.27 (12th), about 12 FTA/48, 1.54 PPS, which can be compared to DeMarcus Cousins' 1.52 PPS. This would seem like a Morey-like pick.

My dream scenario would be the Rockets to take Greg Monroe at the ~10 spot, then buy a pick to draft James Anderson at the ~22 spot.

James is very similar player to Chase, except he's stronger, quicker, and can drive it , although I have to admit he needs to work on his ballhandling a bit more. He also has a very nice midrange game too and can draw fouls like Kevin Martin with his body control and strength.
But those 22 ppg is not a fluke and he could easily go for more every night but he wants to get his teammates involved.

I personally think he has raised his stock up to somewhere in the mid-1st and when see a lot of mock drafts having Willie Warren, who has been a complete disappointment, drafted in the lottery still, I can't imagine why James isn't more highly regarded.

But as far the Rockets go, I think we definitely need a low post scoring prescense and that's where I think Hassan Whiteside can be a viable candidate.

Xavier has nice offensive skills, but he's a marginal NBA athlete at the guard/SF position.

In most Draft boards his projected to go mid to late first(16th-25th), so I don't see the rockets using their lottery pick on him.....

However I wouldn't mind trading or buying a lower pick to get the him ,Bradley or even Paul George....

I want the kid from Xavier...Jordan Crawford. Reminds me a lot of Clyde with better ball handling. He had a play the other day where he just put his head down and took the ball from end to end for a layup and foul.

If Rockets stay at around 14, he is one of the guys I think would be a great fit. He moves without the ball. Very similar to Martin in that he shoots threes and gets to FT line a lot of time when inside the arc.
