It's a little early to say so, but......Tsk Tsk Bosh. Should've gone to a contending team now that your super-friends are falling one by one. It's ok though, because the Rockets will use the money to bolster the bench to back up the core.

Article was written before Bosh announced he was resigning. Wade isn't leaving.

I would LOL so much, please happen.

Bosh, McRobert, Granger, Napier and Cole, 2015 champions!!

If that happens, I could see the heat lookin to trade Bosh at the deadline or next offseason so they can just tank.

I don't think bosh cares. He has two rings and just signed for $118 m dollars. I don't think nba players care that much about winning if they can get $118 m .

If I was Wade, and I wanted to chase rings, I'd sign with Chicago. Compared to only Miami, Chicago is in a better spot to contend.

But Wade has 3 rings already. He should be a Heat lifer.

    Nah.

    $118/5yrs in Miami
    $88/4yrs in Houston + let's say $6m when he re-signs after, so $93m/5yrs

So, essentially he chose a weaker Miami option over a possible contender in his home state for a 26% raise.

This is, of course, after having earned $120m+ thus far in his career. So really, you can say that he did it for an 11% increase in his bank account, assuming all his wealth comes from NBA salary.

In reality he is likely to have made more than that in the past from endorsemets and such, and I imagine he would make more future endorsement money playing with a contender in his home state for longer in a bigger market with Dwight Howard and James Harden.

All in all, I estimate that Bosh stayed with the Heat for a change in wealth of about 6 or 7%. I can't imagine a top notch competitor of any type of competition forgoing 6 or 7% hit in wealth in exchange for a clearly better shot at the title.

This happens all the time, but it just serves as a reminder of how few NBA players are really sincere about prioritizing winning. It also reminds us that Chris Bosh did this to make a quick 7%, an amount of money which will serve him no real purpose in his future. If it disappeared from his life tomorrow, it would not affect his lifestyle for as long as he lives.

But the market believes he's worth it, and he has worked for this so you can't say much cause it's all earned.

Lets not forget Miami is a much better place to live then Houston. If Miami disappeared from his life tomorrow and got replaced with Houston, It would definitely affect his lifestyle as long as he lived...in Houston.

I assure you, no person making $20m a year lives with that part of Houston. This is what Houston looks like for Chris Bosh:

Is it really that big a difference? Plus, it's his hometown. How far is he from all his family and friends?
