Expected it a bit, he's damaged goods now and I'd never pay a max for a player with that specific injury history.

Sad to possibly see another top 20 all-time guy go down before his prime.

That Yao Ming injury is brutal for big guys to come back from, if Durant were to have his career altered or ended by it like this it would be a huge blow to the NBA as a whole.

I am a Houston Rockets fan all the way, but I am very unhappy to hear about this. I hope he will will recover well. The NBA needs Kevin Durant back to his best.

Can't believe Kevin Durant could potentially be done this early.
Very strange, you would expect Russell Westbrook to have killed himself by going too hard and breaking his wrists clean off with a hard dunk than to see skinny/twig Durant suffer from stress fractures...

    So true.

And it takes the Thunder ...a team that finally has a beast in the low post in Kanter, from a real contender for all the marbles....to one or two and out...wow.

    Get well KD.

You're truly a good man for putting aside your fanhood and being unhappy about a person's career-altering injury.

Poor Kevin Durant....he's the next Derrick Rose. Those kinda injuries don't go away...it's not if, but when he breaks his foot again. So sad!:(

Time out. Don't care what occurs to OKC is aces but to root against a human being? And one who is, by all accounts, a good guy and a great player is disgraceful.

The problem with comparing him to Ilgauskas is that we never really got to see what he looked like on the floor before all those foot surgeries. He was missing entire seasons from the moment he came into the league before he finally was able to play consistently. So we don't know if he lost any quickness or explosiveness. What if Durant does recover but isn't the same player?

If he suffers Yao's fate, that would be cruel. I feel terrible for the guy. But as a Rockets fan, I don't feel that bad for OKC fan. We had a potential title team wiped away by injuries. Hell, we may be going through it again depending on the status of Dwight's knee. And on that topic, Morey better leave Durant the hell alone for 2016. You don't gamble your entire franchise on a guy with the same foot problem that Yao Ming had. Remember the definition of insanity, Daryl.
