Would Case Keenum have been a better option than Hoyer?

I get that the whole Keenum fan only thing is obnoxious, but statistically he simply isn't any worse historically than Brian Hoyer. They both look like decent game managers, neither will ever be a superstar, but I can't find anything anywhere that demonstrates how Hoyer is clearly the better quarterback.

Keenum and Hoyer's career passing ratings are identical. Absolutely the same actually.

Keenum passes, on average, for 70 more yards a game and has a higher TD percentage and a lower INT percentage. His completion percentage is about one percent lower than Hoyer's, and Hoyer's average completion is about half a yard better, but Keenum is considerably more mobile, averages 3 more yards per carry for his career, and is 2 years younger. He is also much cheaper than Brian Hoyer.

So someone explain to me again how Hoyer is clearer better than Case Keenum? It might be your opinion, but the statistics simply don't show it to be significantly true. I don't think Hoyer is a bad quarterback, but there's nothing in his background that shows him to be clearly better than Case Keenum either.

    Statistically speaking, you are correct.

However, Keenum's "career" consists of 10 games in which he went 2-8... The 2 wins being with Bill O'Brien. I feel like BOB brings out more from the quarter backs.

Look at Fitz's stats all the years before and then last year.. Look at Case's stats 2 years ago, and last year.

I think we need to give Hoyer his chance with Bill.

Side note: I dont think BOB gives a **** about mobility... He wants a pocket passer (see Patriots) Thats why he got rid of Case last year only bringing him back out of necessity.

    Don't back track now.

We're still winning 10 plus games assuming Foster can get back pretty quickly.

Hoyer is better than Mallett. You just can't get deal with being wrong.

Case could be a good replacement for Mallet.

    An upgrade, even.

Bill O'Brien had literally nothing to do with patriots success. In 2007 when they went undefeated and scored 8 million points they were led by mcdaniels

Guys, Case Keenum is a backup QB at best. He does well in the first half but struggled mightily in the 2nd half. Case is going to CFL. He's not NFL QB1 material.

    Happy for him.

With how bad that line is, he has a decent shot at playing this year.

Man at least Keenum manned up. Should've kept him. Not saying he is long term answer but would've been better for this season.
