[USA Today] James Harden has a defense for his criticized defense

Worst thing about it is defense these days isn't the way it was back then. Zone is allowed, why not give full effort knowing you got help now?

 

Our help schemes were all sorts of **** though, i don't care how bad you are on the perimeter, if jj reddick beats you 25 feet from the rim, in no world should he get the rest of the way unchallenged. In one way it bothers me, in that the schemes look better designed now, so his bad defense may still occur but the impact won't be as noticeable, which is a blessing and a curse if he goes back to lazy ****, similar to say, the Golden State golden boy.

 

What theory? A clutchfans member created the video. So clutchfans is where the video originated. Im not sure how there is a theory involved, anyways it doesnt matter, his reputation is ruined and will never recover. It is his fault at the end of the day for not playing better defense.

 

Championship is the only thing that will erase that. Same with Howard- he could take a team to the 7th game of the NBA Finals, lose by 1 point, and there'd be a number of people who'd say it proves he's a loser.

Bottom line is that most fans just outright suck. Really suck. They might be decent people outside of their fan suit, but once they put that on, many turn into bumbling idiots. Critical thinking and objective evaluations go right out the window. So, it matters nothing that other fans, the media, and even some of our own fans (like certain posters who just won't shut their goddamm mother****ing yaps about certain players- just GTFO already) act like ignoramuses- best thing to do is tune them all out, watch the game, and enjoy.

 

I think Morey just challenged someone to make a "Watt can't play defense" video.
