You're delusional if you think Melo is a better leader than Harden

He would absolutely fit here. I've said before that Melo isn't the guy that can pull a team to a playoffs but he would compliment a star player beautifully with his unguardable 1 on 1 skill.

Imagine 3 players that are essentially unstoppable one on one. Keep in mind the opponent can only have 5 players on the court at a time.

If I remember correctly, AI had a pretty successful run in Denver. In fact I remember playing the Nuggets back in 07 or 08 and AI scored their first ten points like the great scorer he was.

That being said, building a team around Carmelo and AI was never going to work. He needed a 3 and D guard by his side, not a shoot-first guard like AI. I'm pretty sure they had JR Smith too, so that was never going to translate to wins.

Melo has been on a lot of bad teams and he's been labeled a loser as a result, which is unfortunate for him. Melo still has a chance to win a ring if he's smart. Signing that extension was not smart and he's going to have to live with that decision. His frustration makes sense to me, but he sort of brought it upon himself.

Melo doesn't want to leave NY. He just wants people to think he cares about winning.

For two years Melo and AI were the highest scoring duo in the league. AI was not washed up.

That washed up AI averaged 26 points and 7 assists and had the highest FG%, 3PT%, and lowest TO/G averages of his career.

Lol you have no idea what a gold digger is then. Melo plays the game of basketball better than 99% of people on this planet. He's earned his money.
