In the last number of games, TSlack has hurt the Rockets when he has played. My guess is that he has cost us four or five games.

    1. In the past 25 games, we are 8-3 without him and 5-9 with him. That's pretty obvious. For those keeping score, we've been a 0.727 team without him and a 0.357 team with him. Stay in street clothes, TSlack. I'd rather have the Ws.

    2. Our offense is better. We score 8.2 points per game more when he doesn't play. Our FG% is 5.3% better.

    3. Our defense is better. We give up 2.7 points per game less when he doesn't play. Our opponents shoot 2.7% worse.

    4. TSlack has been shooting 35.4% in his last 14 games. He's making Airballston look like a dead-eye shooter.

    5. Per game, teams score 3.6 points more than the Rockets do when he is on the floor.

He messes up chemistry. He messes up our rotations. He messes up our offense. He messes up our defense. He needs to sit.

He should only come back when he is 100% healthy both physically and mentally; otherwise, he is hurting the team way too much. If it means sitting out the rest of the season, so be it.

Excellent post....nice and well reasoned...probably should drop the derogatory terms though, your argument stands on it's own.

That is like saying we are a better team last year when we didnt have Yao Ming, because our record was better without him last year too

No it isn't ...did you even look at the evidence?

It is saying THIS YEAR, the Rockets are better without Tmac....and it is factual evidence.

This season he IS NOT HELPING the Rockets.

Hopefully he will be healthly and that week off now, will help.

Did you read my comment, when Yao when down last year, we actually had a better record. So was last year team better without Yao because we won more game?

Your persistence is admirable, and a little scary as well. A bit reminiscent of Captain Ahab and Moby Dick.

Your numbers tell and confirm a story that the casual fan has already seen and heard with his own eyes and ears. Good job on the breakdown, again.

Your conclusions on what the management should do with #1 are sound and agreeable.

Your continued use of belittling nicknames hinder your message. Delivery is almost as important as content in communication ... without appropriate delivery the message might as well never have been sent, because it's not gonna get to the target.

you know what the fans that continue to hold on to this helplessly hopeful stance remind me of despite the numerous and ongoing red flags..?

" krusty is coming..! krusty is coming..! krusty is coming..! "

It is not necessarily about the record, it is about how the team plays, scores, defends....

And unless you post some actual stats and facts to back up your argument, it has zero credibility.

This post by the OP nails it.......

I have no problem with the assessment.
    It is accurate.

Drop the immature words, and even more people will actually listen to your analysis..

    The stats/facts are there.
No one will bother to post them, because at this point the care level is at 0
    <br>
Same thing happened last year with Yao..

However, you guys are right, this year the Rockets have been better w/o McGrady...

Um ... for a similar stretch of games, (say starting at Utah), we were 12-0 with Yao and 10-3 without him.
