Jones has never been as disciplined as DMo on D, way more athletic but prone to watching the ball and missing rotations.

DMo is a better team defender by a mile.

Be realistic here. Jones can't check Anthony Davis. He's never going to win that battle. And then Ryan Anderson took him outside and Jones didn't stay with him because Jones is undisciplined.

He could realistically improve against guys like Anderson. But no matter how good he gets he'll never be able to check Davis. He's simply too small for bigs like Davis.

Davis has destroyed us this season in every game except the one where we didn't decide to show up, and Jones has only played in one of those games.

Howard, DMo, and Smith cannot stop Davis either.

Well the big loss is that Jones can't even slow him down while being a non-factor on offense and the boards. Smith can't stop him, but he slowed him down when he was put on him in the 3rd quarter and beyond and that proved to be enough.

A big part of the reason we won last night was because Smith stepped up and Jones didn't go back on the court after the 3rd quarter.

I can't agree that a major reason we won last night was because Jones sat in the 4th, I'd say it had more to do with the play of Brewer and Howard defensively. We played with more intensity as a team in the 4th.

Don't discount what Smith did. The reason I say not letting Jones touch the court was a big part of the win was because he was terrible defensively last night as well as being worthless on the boards and largely worthless on offense. If you kept either Smith or Howard on the bench for Jones, we lose last night.

All of us "dmo only fans" turned out to be right. It's obvious who the best pf on this team is. Terrence jones exposed in the playoffs yet again. Garbage.

I'm still sure we gonna continue to see TJones only fans posting how DMO has yet to prove himself in the playoffs bla bla, ignoring the fact Jones proved how bad he is in the playoffs himself.
DMO was there for us when we really needed him and Jones usually pads his stats when we're doing already good and in blowouts.

Jones has been the most useless rocket on the court through these two series.

He played a lot better in the 2nd half, he has certainly been better than Smith on both ends of the floor this series. Which says a lot about how awful Smith has been.

He also helped to regain the lead.... Lol The guy was injured and did not play till end January, February.

As an athlete that is like resting half a year or so without playing for the ordinary man

Remember last years playoffs when Howard and Jones had to go out to defend Lamarcus Aldridge becuase of his ability to shoot from the outside? It opened up the lane for other guys to drive to the basket. That's essentially what DMO would have brought to the table with his ability to hit from the outside.

Boy do I wish we could have Dmo instead of Tjones right now. Tjones looks like a third string forward.

If it's not on fast break, Jones can't really create his own shots.

Of course he is more disciplined. He is European. They are disciplined team players.

Now Top European players do turn into stars in the NBA when 1) They are aggressive 2) They assert themselves and do not defer too much

Deferring too much to teamball does not help them in the NBA

National players on the other hand would benefit more from teamball as they are more individually inclined.
