Ever since Netflix streaming became available on Xbox Live I've been plowing through movies left and right. In the past 5 days I've watched about a dozen, and that's really what prompted me to start this thread. There's also a similar thread on a forum I visit and it's pretty popular, so I figured some of us might enjoy having one here.

The movies don't have to be new releases, and feel free to use whatever rating system you want (8/10, 85%, C+, Good/Bad, etc.) PLEASE be considerate and use SPOILER tags when referring to important plot points or endings, even if the movie is older.

I'll go first... (there are no actual spoilers in my post...it's just a lot of text)

Gunnin' For That #1 Spot (84%) - Nice insight into the lives of these young athletes, set to a great soundtrack, but I wish there were more actual game film.

Sunshine (85%) - I'm a sucker for space flicks, and I really liked this one. The sense of impending doom is a great backdrop and helped me make a connection with the characters.

Blade Runner: Director's Cut (78%) - No doubt impressive for its time, and it boasts some nice performances, but I honestly wasn't blown away by it. It did have a thought provoking ending, which I like.

    *2001: A Space Odyssey (77%) - A classic at its time...just doesn't intrigue me that much anymore.

*2010: The Year We Make Contact (73%) - A worthy sequel, but not quite as special as the first.

*Spies Like Us (70%) - I'm a Chevy Chase fan, but this isn't his best work.

*Confessions of a Superhero (87%) - Very intriguing, and often sad look into a circle of very unique individuals that are strangely interesting, and even frighteningly troubled.

*Just One of the Guys (85%) - An old favorite.

*THX 1138 (68%) - I know it's by the great George Lucas, but I just wasn't impressed, no matter how much I was supposed to be. I was bored.

*Gattaca (82%) - Quite an interesting take on the future, with solid performances and a great moral to the story.

*The Nines (72%) - Ryan Reynolds in a serious role...err...roles, and he does well. But, if you don't really read about the movie, you won't have a single ****ing clue what's going on until the 3rd act. If you can live with that, it might be worth a look.

*Man On Wire (92%) - Part documentary, part caper, part drama, part love story, part tragedy. All great. The energy with which the main character retells his story is amazing and beautiful, and keeps you engrossed in his journey from start to finish. One of, if not the only movie I have ever seen with so many reviews (136) on rottentomatoes.com that are ALL positive. Every last one.

    * Can be streamed on Netflix.

Really? I didn't know they became available on XBox Live. How can I do that?

Last movie I watched was Sydney White...pretty dumb.

Basically you need a broadband connection, an XBox 360 w/ a Gold Live account, and of course a membership to Netflix.

Saw Six Degrees of Separation last night with my wife, on cable, and we really liked it. Somehow, we'd missed the film in 1993, when it came out. A great cast, with Donald Sutherland, Stockard Channing, Will Smith, and Ian McKellen. If you haven't seen this, you should. All the actors are amazing.

Me and the wife saw "Lucky Number Slevin" last night on DVD and that was one hell of a movie. Josh Hartnett, Morgan Freeman, Ben Kingsley, and Bruce Willis. Really kept us entertained until the end. Pick this one up for sure if your into Quentin Terrentino films and what not.

Hey, nimrod. I said to use spoiler tags. :(

Yes, I've never seen A Beautiful Mind and I don't know what happens. In fact I just put it in my que last night.

Now I have to unremember what I read, and I hate you... :(

Forgetting Sarah Marshall was a lot better than I was expecting.

Stranger than Fiction was a lot worse than I was expecting.

The Bank Job is a very good movie, but really drags the first hour of the film.

Just rerented Sneakers. I loved that movie when it came out. Will have to see if it has standed up to time.

In the last week or so I've seen...

Saw 4 - I liked it a lot, probably my favorite Saw movie. 8/10

Death Race - another Jason Statham movie with waaay over the top action but I actually kinda liked this one. 6/10

    Mr. Bean's Holiday - meh. A 5/10.

Wrong Turn - your average horror movie. 6/10.

The Mist - I really liked this one. I will probably watch it again when I'm done with my exams. The ending was a bit predictable though. 8/10.

Hey, CCR, how do you decide between 84% and 85%? How much better did you like Sunshine than Gunnin' For That #1 Spot?

    jk. ;)

    1% better :)

Really I just started the list and then based the other ratings off the first rating, if that makes sense.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall - Pleasantly surprised - 75%

Then I've been on a John Wayne kick:

    True Grit - 85%
    The Cowboys - 90%
    Rio Bravo - 95%
    North to Alaska - 80%

Don't click if you plan to see The Mist in the future...

I don't know. When he took the gun I knew he was going to shoot them (but I guess most people knew). And when he did, I thought "Wouldn't it be something, if some other survivors would find him now?". I just knew it wouldn't end with him dying... It was great though.

Last movie I saw was Burn after Reading. My expectations were high since it is a Coen Brothers film and I'm a big fan of the Coen brothers. But it disappointed. 4/10.

I saw that recently and thought it was entertaining, but nothing that will stick with me. I'll go with 70%.

I also saw Thank You For Smoking, which someone mentioned above. I liked it, but didn't love it. That one gets 76%.

Hell, now I'm starting to remember a bunch of other movies I've seen lately lol...

Fargo (83%) - Yeah, it took me that long to see it. Funny movie with an interesting ending.

Pineapple Express (75%) - Good, but not great. I actually liked James Franco's character more than Seth Rogan's character. "Red" stole the show.

    Eagle Eye (35%) - I mean, WTF?

I finally got around to seeing Kal ho naa ho (hindi movie) last night with a friend...i've had the dvd for years but never got around to watching and last night my friend kept insisting so i said ok.

the only part was we started watching the movie pretty late and its a looooong movie but its not too bad since i got to spend more time with her.

but as for the movie itself i would rate it an 8/10. a pretty decent love story with some twists and the soundtrack to the movie was pretty good too

Kingdom of Heaven Director's Cut - 8.5/10 Still has a few problems (namely Orlando Bloom), but the added character development and fixed plot holes made it a lot better (Damn Fox)

Troy - 5/10 Watched this on TBS. Still average just like the first time I saw it

Watched I Am Legend last night. It was okay. A solid 7/10. Thought 28 Days Later was a better version of the same story.
