It all depends on his development. If the Rockets transition their gameplan next year and beyond from Howard to DMo he can be pretty good.

    18-8 ish?

2nd tier PF, very productive but not top tier...if he gets bigger in the lower body I think he could be a top tier center though.

I can see him being a top 15-20 PF in another two years if he keeps progressing. If he cracks the top 10 it will only because the quality of guys at that position plummets and I doubt that will happen.

Still, top 15-20 ain't bad at all.

I don't know a lot of things, but I know Donuts is not the 42nd-best PF.

Where is he ranked on the list of 7-footers averaging 16 and 7 (ish)?

I think his ceiling is somewhere around top 5, but it's anybody's guess if he'll reach that or not. If he only beefs up his rebounding numbers and starts hitting that 3 at closer to 35% for the season consistently (currently 31.8% for the season, 36.1% since January 1st) then he should easily be top 15

Definitely top 5-10 PF. His development and body remind me of a young Dirk Nowitzki. His agility is unmatched from any other 7 footer in the league. His offensive game took a huge step up this year in consistency. His team defense is getting better and his 7' frame is causing opponents to be less efficient in the post. IF he develops that 3pt shot next year, I think he jumps into the star echelon.

All these reasons are why you DON'T trade him away for anything less than a cornerstone player, because he will become one very soon.

Why are you implying he has a ceiling?

The biggest thing holding Dmo back is his own self confidence. I continue to see him defer and make the selfless pass when he should take the shot. It looks more and more like he's afraid to fail. Until he gets confident on a higher level of play he won't take that next step. But I do think he has another major step or two left in him.

27 in EWA, for what it's worth.

30th in win shares for players 6'8" or taller (15th for players 6'10" or taller).

Yeah, that's basically saying that he's a back up PF. He's starting for a good team so we know this is not true.
