Rockets are not far. They like big names and also like to implement offense philosphies to their coaches. The most resemblance, is how they give 0 ****s about chemistry

I do agree. Morey can acquire talent with the best of them, but he does have aspects of his philosophy that need to change. I imagine this season will be eye-opening for him.

Except Lawson had a much longer track record of continued success and efficiency, so really it isn't very comparable. It is worse, and more suspicious.

Agreed, just can't think of anyone else to compare it to at the moment. I literally have no idea what's going on.

Doubtful. Morey is the most arrogant, smug, stubborn, and prideful guy.

Easy to say in hindsight but...

There was a not a huge Ty Lawson market, whether that was due to the Nuggets asking price(and they didn't get much in the end) or his off-court issues...

If it was low before, imagine it now.

And to think Ty gave away that 2nd year...yikes! Good for Houston, not great for him.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy how bad the impact of Lawson this year on the team has been, he's actually one of the reasons for the slump since Bev is out with whatever and Lawson has been bricking while playing zero defense. I still can't figure out how one of the most efficient and versatile pgs in the league is playing like trash this year.

As for Morey, I agree with the other poster I think this season is eye opening for him (and for me too lol) in regards to chemistry and the human element when it comes to team building. Morey has often ignored that human element in going after players like Melo, Lawson, Cousins (predraft) etc. he is often on record saying they look at talent first and then let the players figure out what the fit is. Coming from a statistical mindset I guess the assumption is players will always play according to their ability, it will be interesting to see how he evalutates this team given majority of the roster is playing like scrubs.
