That's a super steal! But i am almost convinced Harden does not do well in playing with ball dominant pg's. I want to be wrong!
Rockets get Dragic Heat get Beverley, Brewer, 2017 1st round Pick... I like minus the 1st round pick we could be dumpster juice and end up with a good pick... we gave our away for Lawson and ended up with nothing
We can't trade out of the 1st round two years in a row, correct? And we don't have any owed to us to trade. Didn't listen, either. Feel shtty even responding.
Plus moving Dragic after Wades departure seems highly unlikely, they wouldn't have a single ball handler if they traded Dragic for Bev. C'mon OP, your a 06 contributing member.
I hate trading away draft picks because I'm on team rebuild. But with the harden extension I'm more open to trying to win now. Dragic is an all star and adding him would make us a much better team than last year. As such, that pick is probably somewhere in the 20's. I think you have to do that deal, but it also depends on what dragic is signed to and fir how long. Get er done Morey: Anderson, Gordon, Dragic, harden, and ariza; that's a good shooting squad.
With the new cap Goran's Salary of 15.8 mil does not look bad anymore. His deal runs through 2020 which is when every one else come off the books. This deal weakens us defensively but you almost have to do it if it is really on the table. If Goran can play with Wade he can play with Harden who is a better passer.
I thought you can trade consecutive years once the first years pick was exhausted, meaning you could trade 2017 since the 2016 draft has past. I thought the rule was just to prevent teams from trading future consecutive years picks (I.e can't trade 2017 and 2018 now).
I believe this is correct re: stepien rule. Iirc rox could trade 2017 & 2019 or 2018 & 2020 at this juncture
Some pundits have wondered whether the Heat should tank now that Wade has taken his show elsewhere, but I don't know if Pat Riley can be counted on that...even if you could wade (no pun intended, but probably no accident the word was there for me to pluck) into the 2017 free agent pool. Still, I'm not going to lose sleep waiting for Dragic to suddenly don a Rockets uniform. I don't know if he's the direction we would want to go, anyway.
