    Apple finally released a fix allowing me to convert from iPhoto to Photos, so all of my stuff is in iCloud. The conversion would abort at about the 30% complete range. The main fix to Photos was to resolve a problem with importing GoPro videos.

    The software support guy in me wants to remove the fix and then remove the GoPro videos from my iPhoto library and try the conversion again. The rational person in me says why bother.

    Interesting. It's actually Photos that launched the thread, as I watched Mrs. B-Bob tearing her hair out last night. The Photos edit "features" are just horrific, so migration is imminent.

    Appreciate the ideas (and the age jokes) in the thread. Cheers.
    Probably just going to ramp up my already heavy use of DropBox.
