In before "Power Rangers is still a thing?" Comments. There are a lot of Power Ranger homages in this for the die hard PR fans. I liked it, but I hope/know the movie won't be this dark. I find it pretty hilarious that the director made this as a joke but it has gone viral and some now think a movie could work after ****ting all over the idea initially.
This short film is much better in my opinion. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Ynhahhab9iY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
So, so good. Totally steals the wind out of the upcoming movie--which I'm not sure how many people actually wanted--there's no way it can top that.
Saw this earlier today. Loved it. Apparently Saban is in a uproar about it though. Hoping the reboot will be good. They've pinned two writers that worked on X-Men: First Class and Thor to write the script. I just don't want it to be cheesy. Given that most of fans of the series were die-hards for the original show. We'll see.
FAKE! Spoiler No way Rocky beats Tommy. Just kidding. Saw this earlier as well. That formula will work. Have the content grow up with the original demographic's generation instead of keeping the content the same for the future generation. TMNT should be doing this as well. Let the turtles with blades actually stab somebody.
This would have been a good proof of concept for a mid/late '90s DTV Rangers film, back then I don't think comic/cartoon producers could have even given the rights away for any serious feature film.

Let me just share the Power Falcons:grin: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/uBSrP7ub6VA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
So from someone that's never given a damn about Power Rangers, were those the original actors from the show? I didn't recognize anyone but Van Der Beek.
I would watch that. I think given my low expectations of the power rangers, that delivered enough to give it a look.
The owner of the Power Rangers license are already planning to put a cease and desist on the video. So if you want to watch it again do so now. I liked the video and the cheesiness of it. Basically shows a darker Power Rangers can be done, but it obviously doesn't need to be as dark as this video. All that blood splatter was amazing tho, haha
