Sigh... we still don't have any prospects at AAA/AA that project to major league starting fielders.

I don't know why we still have Lancaster as the high-A affiliate. It's so bad for pitchers that the organization is starting to have better prospects skip the level and go straight to AA. And hitters stats completely fall off because it's such a hitters league/park.

I would have liked to see JD Martinez in AAA.

Andy Van Hekken wins the award for most years on the same AAA roster without being released or called up.

Pleasantly surprised to see Jimmy Paredes at AAA and good for Ross Seaton to get out of Lancaster...didn't go to well there. Slightly surprised to see J.D. Martinez at AA but he should be at AAA by mid-season.

Jo Mier needs to show something this season, no more adjustment periods for him. He is young but another bad season makes him go from top prospect to organizational guy.

I think Jio's problem was gaining strength an keeping muscle. He looked pretty filled out this spring training so maybe he overcomes his hitting problem and starts hitting for more power.

I think its baffling though how we let go of Marcus Nidiffer. The story was that we told him that we had enough depth at 1st base and catcher and then just cut him loose. After the dude mashed 10 homeruns or so in the short season. I wouldn't say that this organization has depth at any position including the outfield prospects. The Angels snatched him up a day later to play catcher for their A ball team.

Really...Billy Ray "Rojo" Johnson? That was Will Ferrell's persona for the schtick he pulled off during an Express game last year. Somewhere in the Astros organization is an intern that isn't very good at his editing job.

Paredes is at double A, which is where he should be. He's skipping high A altogether, nobody skips 2 levels, he still has major fielding issues he needs to sort out.

And i agree about seaton, i hate having Lancaster as an affiliate, its skews everything. A pitcher could be making some progress, but when he's giving up so many hits it hurts his confidence.

One thing is for sure, its good to see some actual prospects making it past A ball

Just wait a year. The prospects list likely will be very different. That is the beauty of minor league ball. Some players will take a big step forward while others will regress.

Oops...typo on my part. Yea, any pitcher they think is worth a darn should just skip Lancaster and move to CC. If you find a pitcher who can thrive, or even survive, there then you found something but other then that pitching in Lancaster is a nightmare.

Tanner Bushue threw 8 shutout innings as Lexington blanked Bryce Harper and the Hagerstown Suns 7-0 tonight. Telvin Nash and Daniel Adamson homered for the Legends.

Delino DeShields Jr. went 1-5. He's hitting .138 in the early going....
