I agree with roslolian here. And more so if you follow this to the financial conclusion. By signing overseas now he gets a salary of (I think I read) $1.2 Million. If lack of exposure/familiarity drops him in the draft one or two slots, that is a $couple hundred thousand per slot times a four year contract and it could actually cost the player money. There is an argument for cash now and bird in the hand (what if he has a career ending injury, etc), but still it seems an expensive choice to me.

I have a feeling that this kid is going to end up the best player in this draft. He doesn't have a jumpshot but he has a great feel for the game. He's a bigger and stronger Elfrid Payton.

So did it hurt or help him?

Cash he got there obviously helped his family when they needed most, in terms of mock - we would never know

Don't think it hurt him. He is still considered a top 5 talent and would be a steal anywhere below that.

I think he's going to fall out. The way these BSPN analysts have been talking, draft could look like

    1. KAT
    2. Okafor
    3.Russell
    4.Hezonja
    5.Prozingas

I would love for him to fall to #6 so Houston can swoop in for the kill!

I think he's going before Prozingis. Prozingis has Darko level bust potential. He hasn't even shown D-mo skills.

This kid seems like the real deal. Future star IMO. Well spoken as well. Im really gonna be rooting for him, meanwhile rooting for Lawson to make his way over here for terrence jones, Papa and Nick johnson.

Hes so quick, can shoot and has amazing court vision. He makes hard passes look easy and always seems to be in control.

Couple more things: the PF for DEN looks nice (Laverne?).

Best, though, is Lakerfan watching these highlights. Russell can't hold Mudiay's jock.
