Trading Mobley would mean trading Francis as well

For all you Mobley haters, if the rockets trade Mobley I can guarantee you that Francis is going to stir a huge ruckus! Francis and Mobley are siamese twins, they're best of best friends. Francis is very assertive, he gets what he wants.

He didn't want to play for Memphis, he didn't.

He didn't want to resign with Houston unless he got the biggest paycheck that the rockets franchise has ever handed out.

I think the GMs know that you can't have 2 shooting guards but they know Francis is gonna be pissed. Afterall, he is the franchise player.

so if mobley gets moved, expect alot of trouble from Francis.

I think the best remedy is to make Cat play behind Francis and get a vet point guard with some play off experience. I'd like to see Mark Jackson or even Brent Barry. I just don't know how to get a good point guard: too many big contracts. Our only option is to shop Eddie, Yao and even Posey. But those are the core players so its kinda a dead end.

BRENT BARRY? A POINT GUARD? God. You know how slow he runs?

We shouldn't trade Mobley because it would alienate Francis, so instead we should consider the option of trading Yao? That's funny.

if you really need to trade SF, of course you can get another franchise player.

Brent Barry is pretty tall too, 6-6 I believe. Hes no point but he does know how to distribute the ball and hes a good pure shooter (maybe not the purest). Him and Payton both can run point. Also, he is not slow...hes faster than Stockton (which is not that bad)...probably about Derek Fisher speed.

Yao's commercial value greatly depends on his performance.
If he doesn't improve quickly, he may be traded :(

Well, I meant that as a list of POSSIBLE options. I'd rather trade Steve than Yao.

Trust me, why would you want to trade a top 10 SG who needs a coach to COACH him? Why would you want to trade a young player who is very underpaid and works his ass off to improve his game. Why would you trade a player who has great chemistry and really wants to win. Problem is most of his improvement needed is from the mental aspect, and somehow our coach cannot knock that into his head.

Would Francis get upset over Mobley getting traded? You can answer that question by answering this question: Does Francis care more about winning than anything else?

If/when the Rox miss the playoffs, we'll find out what the answer is. I would put my money on Francis wanting to be a winner. I already see that in Yao.

Francis is signed to a fat max contract.

he is in no postition to dictate the personnel decisions.

he wasn't even in that position when he was a free agent to be, no way in hell that's changed now.

Mobes is expendable, buy a clue.

If that's true, then it means trade them both. No place for a player who cares about friends over wins. I don't think Francis will bolt if Mobley is traded though.

I'm sure Steve will get over soon enough, when his team would be winning playoff games while Cuttino is watching from LA.

I really think Steve at this point is more about winning. And the whole "friendship" thing is a little overdone. I'm sure they're good friends, but it would seem like Mobley would need Steve more than vice-versa. That wouldn't be a problem if Mobley were traded.

Now let's go get a new Brand of a PF.

All pun intended...please excuse me ;)

Commercial value? LMAO. If Yao leaves Rox, he won't leave via a trade.

I don't know how anyone can play so many minutes and get so few assists.

Cat played 42 minutes and got a whopping 1 assist.

Cuttino Mobley is 92nd in the league in assists per 48 minutes.

    That is just terrible.
