Interesting. Have to give him props. He did look good defensively alongside Dwight. If only the boy could shoot.

DoMo and Tjones would fit fine if they both know how to plays without fouling.

    nicely done, jones

I’m proud of him. - McHale
He figured that one out himself

That is one, now we need to put DMo in as backup Center...and we are good to go.

we need more players in rotation.

AB with 6 seconds of play does not count.

TJones... you were part of the win tonight.

Jones also started both matches against the Pacers in preseason.

Although his play was average he did was not obliterated by West

Great job by Jones. More athletic, quicker, can guard 3 positions, and a better defender than Asik.

I am pleased that Jones did well. The matchups gave him the edge vs Asik.
Asik is a very dependable defender.

    So basically don't play Asik?

I mean, if he can be traded, sure - play D-Mo behind Dwight all day then. But while he's here, he's too good of a player to be ousted at backup center in favor of Motiejunas.

Asik still is our insurance in case Howard gets injured or in foul trouble. Or when we play against twin towers.

If Camby was healthy, it would be easier to trade Asik. But he's not so if it were my decision, I'll still hold on to him.

Anyone that is quicker, can finish decently around the basket and does not give up rebound is an upgrade over Asik's offense.

Asik as the No 1 rim protector wasn't bad but he is just a luxury that can't finish around the basket( not just bad plain horrible)

Props to TJones, I hope he can build on it and become a contributing part of the rotations. More options and flexibility is always a good thing.

Before the season I had him as my starting PF. Glad to see he stepped up when an opportunity presented itself.

Sucks for Asik, but an Asik/Dwight frontcourt never was going to work.
