some do not understand playing through injury/pain in sports, it happens all the times with ankles/knees/etc but when its a movement (shooting the ball) that is being hindered by an injury thats on the medical staff to show some gumption. At the end of the day however, if you put yourself out there, you must perform. Mayweather had a shoulder injury against Castillo, but some people choose to ignore that. Why? Because in the elite level of sports there is little time for sympathies I scored it 114-112 Castillo btw
Has anyone else noticed how the second Jeremy Lin left the Rockets the national media has fallen in love with him again? A ton of NBA channel and ESPN coverage of his new start and the upcoming reinvention of Linsanity. History has shown us that his game thrives when he is confident (and he sucks when lacking confidence....thx in part to McHale). This does not bode well at all for us Rocket fans who are going to see the likely return of "Linsanity -Chapter 2" and have to suffer through it on a nightly basis. Am I the only one nervous about this?
Well, the Lakers are kinda like the Knicks. No expectations, so we know that Lin will have his chance to lead a bunch of rag-tag benchwarmers. Kobe is gonna be Kobe, but I doubt that he's gonna be that 40mpg, "everything must run through me" guy coming off a serious injury at 35 years old with nothing to play for. I think there's a good chance Lin does well.
Part of me died when Lin was traded. Y'all can't see it yet, but he was the perfect PG for us. He's even better than paulwtfk. But slightly.
Yes. Now please let this thread die. General discussion about Lin's performance as a Laker is best reserved for the Dish.
