Mr. Olajuwon turns 38 on Sunday January 21st.

Happy birthday Hakeem, and many more. Now, for the sake of all of us die-hard Rockets fans, please do the following...

    1. Get healthy
    2. Play hard and do your best for the Rockets this season
    3. Keep your mouth shut
    4. Retire at the end of the season

But is he really 38? I had heard a couple of years ago that he may be even OLDER than what he claims. Who knows for sure?

What was Charles Barkley's original quote on dream's true age?? Something about how in Nigeria they write these things in the dirt, so nobody really knows how old he is...

Some guy on 610 this morning claimed that Dream was actually 43! Not that I believe him, but thought it was interesting.

Remember, Dikembe is believed to be older (I've heard he might be 37, 38 and as high as 39 years old), so who knows for sure!

I don't like the insinuations that are made about the age of Africans in the NBA (Hakeem, Dike) and Hispanics in the MLB (El Duque, Lima). They're from foreign countries, therefore they're liars? I could tell you how old I am whether my country kept accurate records or not.

Francis3, have you thrown that party yet?

I'm not calling them liars at all Sam I Am, in fact I think it's a case of mixed up translations. When info of other cultures enter another culture the translation is always screwed up. What might be 39 year old to us might only be 33 or 34 to somebody else, in which case age doesn't matter.

Jayson Williams once asked Manute Bol how old he was...and he said he didn't know. Then Williams asked him why didn't they celebrate birthdays back in Africa...and he said they did, sort of: he said everytime it was someone's birthday they would chop a little mark in a tree. Williams then asked, "Well how many chops you got?" And Bol said, "I don't know, they chopped the tree down a long time ago..."

That's a little story out of Williams' book...it's a good read if yall ever get a chance

yes happy birthday to a very selfish man who cares nothing about retiring a rocket. i've though this for a while but i really do think one of the major major reasons he doesn't want to retire is he wants more money

Rocket Fan, even if he only wanted more money, what's the problem with that? Isn't this country based on a system where people are allowed to choose what work they do (most of the time) and who they work for so that they can maximize their earning potential.

    Happy Birthday Dream

I hope he realizes how badly he is shattering his reputation by requesting the trade/waive.

And why Miami? A team that has underacheived the last 4 years. I hope he stays here, apologizes to the fans, Rudy, and CD and retires after the season.

By the Way, Many happy Returns of the Day.

I hope he does leave. Hopefully he can go somewhere where there are no pitiful, jealous, hypocritical fans insulting him with every move he makes. Hopefully he can go somewhere where he is appreciated. Obviously a lot of Rocket fans care very little about what he has done for them.
