''I don't care about that,'' Bryant said. ''If I did, I would have went for 50 (last week) in San Antonio. They were playing me straight-up in single coverage.''

This what Kobe said yesterday when Durant pulled ahead in scoring avrg.

I call bs. I been sayin all seasin he been tryna win da scorin title, thas why he shootin his worse pct since 1997. He dont care bout effinciency , just his pts total. SO, does ya think he will sit out the last meaningless Laker game and rest for playoffs, or will kobes "competitive pride" make him go for da scorin titlle and risk injury before a crucial playoffs?

Obviously. He's not fooling anybody. As of now, he only needs 35 points to win.

But if KD plays tonight and goes off big, forget it.

See, Kobe says things like he doesn't care, that's what annoys me. Jordan would just play and win the damn thing.

Why do write like this? A couple words here and there is one thing to make getting the paragraph on the screen faster etc. but this is just intentional and makes it hard for people SO does ya think tone it down a bit.

His team isn't good enough to win it all, he needs something to brag about at the end of the season.

The man cares about the scoring title, so what? If he plays and goes for 40 then fine, but if he plays and they pull a David Robinson then it's a little tainted.

outside of Timmy D, there is rarely a player who doesn't care about stats...and not one will admit it.
While Kobe is selfish, he did gladly sitout that mavs game when he 61 in 3 quarters and could've gotten higher than 81.

That said, he is not one to sit out in the end after he is just coming off injury so he probably needs to continue getting sharp
so the real question is not will he play, but will he be gunning for 30 and that is how we will tell...but lets face it, its kobe, would it surprise you? Even KD is going for this thing

That's funny Kobe thinks he can score 50 against the Spurs. Has he even score 50 in a game this season? He's been taking alot of fga, but i dont remember him scoring 50.

Hopefully goodbug stop the double/triple teams BS.

But Durant is gunning more for it than Kobe surprisingly. Durant really cares for that scoring title. 3 in 5 years. Damn.

Kobe scored 18 points on 7-12 in that Spurs game. If he really cared about scoring title, wouldn't he at least shoot more?

You can hate, but don't be stupid.

And Kobe was shooting 7-12 though he's out for couple of weeks, obviously not in his best shape.
If they don't do that, Kobe wouldn't be shooting low 40s. You should cut your crap by now.

Kobe could've shot more in the Spurs game honestly.

Kobe faced single coverage when he played with Shaq. The best he did was 46%. It's just age, and the fact that he's declining that he's shooting in the low 40s.
