Kyle field west side implosion. Pretty cool. http://texags.com/s/15624/watch-the-implosion-of-kyle-fields-old-west-side
He was such a hard commit so long ago that he doesn't get the attention as all the guys milking the spotlight now. Seems like he could be pretty good. You really never know if that success on the high school level will translate. I thought Texas was set for 4 years when we got Gilbert who was at that time the best ever high school QB. He really disappointed. But you can't be any more optimistic about a QB than Murray this year. I'm sure he would be the number 1 target for every team in Texas (and many outside) if he wasn't already committed.
He's small but he's crazy good. I've always wondered why his dad didn't get a sniff in the NFL. Grew up watching him.
Yesterday was the first I've heard of him, seeing him on TV. Undefeated in his career, 43-0 with his 3rd straight title. I believe he accounted for 54 td's this season. Over 4,000 yds passing and 1,000 yds rushing. Geez. He had runs during the game yesterday that just looked like he was toying with the defenders.
The rise and fall of Johnny Football. Didn't last long. Really a shame. Gave us some of the greatest college football plays I have ever seen.
I think that is just people trying to sell their articles. The guy's dad was an icon there wasn't he? Been committed for a while and Sumlin runs an offense that he would want to play in. Can't imagine a reason why he would go somewhere else.
He's been talked about plenty here. If I was him I'd look at going to Auburn or UT. Doesn't have the tools that Allen has, not even close, but he has that special magic that can make a college level QB great.
Despite the fact that he was wearing Aggie gear after his game and flat out told people that he is a solid commit?
Looks like former Wyoming HC and current Utah OC Dave Christensen is joining the staff as "running game coordinator" and offensive line coach.
I like this move. The Utah offense wasn't very good, but the OL was solid. They were also fourth in their conference in rushing IIRC. Whoever comes in (possibly Wyatt) as WR coach can shore up the passing game.
The Swagcopter only picks up Head Coaches and Heisman winners. Assistants are unimportant, especially defensive ones.
I think due to some things Sumlin has said recently people think he might actually go that route. Maybe hiring 2 guys to the same role, or dissecting the traditional role into 2 parts. Sounds cool if someone like Popovich does it but stupid coming from Sumlin.
A&M has shown incredibly poor sportsmanship today in the bowl -- totally classless pushing from a student assistant against WV players, 2 ugly targeting penalties, and then the guy intentionally hitting the WV kicker in the nuts. Show some class out there
