As much as I depise 'the party', I don't think they would be capable of imposing such horrors on north America....Helping Terrorists like Pinochet to blow up buildings in Chile on September 11, 1973, that's a completely different story

I don't believe the Bushies planned the attack, but I do believe they were aware it was coming and allowed it to happen.

But Deckard's right - this has been done to death, and any substantial proof is likely shredded, burned, and dumped in a river by now.

The most obvious thing that leads me to suspect this is the New American Century group, and their assertion that a 'Pearl Harbor' type attack would be necessary to rally public support for American imperalism in the Middle East. Most of the Bushies, with the exception of Dubya himself, are members of this organization. The group, and the mission statement of the group, existed prior to the Bush Administration seizing power.

 

Yeah right. Bush and Ceney wanted an attack to happen which would cause the market to crash and send us spiralling into a recession because we all know that is what makes politicians getting re-elected soooo easy.

Perhaps the conspiracy theorists out there should just lurk on boards while wearing their tin foil helmets.

Uh, to straighten out a couple of facts... the recession had already started (Bush and Cheney were lobbying to get it defined as starting before they took office so they could blame Clinton... don't you remember?)... and the market was at best erratic and going down just before 911...

 

You'd think they'd pick less of a financial target and more of a symbolic one if they wanted a body part to deliberately chop off.

It wouldn't surprise me if the coincidences were merely unearthed forms of corruption that showed up with focus and scrutiny.

 

Alot of market historians and students of market history attribute the recession of 2001, not due to the terror attacks but rather the tripling of oil prices from the beginning of 1999 to March of 2000.

The market was just looking into the future and discounting the fact that energy prices was going to bring about recession.

Every time energy has spiked 80% it has brought about recession. That is what is so important to watch with today's oil prices. If you see oil going to $85-90 in the near future, I guarantee you will see economic recession.

Alot of people and talking heads on television, like to say that the housing recession we currently face is going to bring down the overall economy, but that is not the case, since housing doesn't affect everyone. Energy prices, mainly oil and gasoline prices affect everyone and is something to be keenly aware of.

 

here's a short clip of a firefighter telling people that there is a bomb in the building and they need to clear out. how did he know this? if the building fell b/c it was hit by debris from building 1 and 2 wouldnt that have been spontaneous? they would not have had advance warning that it was about to fall. how did they know it was going to fall and why did they say it was a bomb?

here is a clip from the construction manager of the wtc from january 2001. he states that the towers were built to withstand a "fully loaded 707" and he believes that they could "sustain multiple impacts of jetliners".

here is a clip of larry silverstein talking about how the fires in WTC 7 were out of control and that he made the decision to "pull it". that is a term for a controlled demoltion. watch the video - the building falls perfectly into itself. if that isnt a controlled demolition, i dont know what is. it perfectly fell into its own footprint. even if there was a hole in the side of the building due to fire or being hit by debris from the twin towers, it would not have come down like it did at virtual free-fall speed. it would have collapsed on the side with the hole, as that side would be weaker. silverstein owned buildings 1,2 and 7 and had only months before taken out a $3.5 billion insurance policy on the towers. he tried to collect $7 billion, claiming that each tower was a separate act of terrorism, but the courts ruled against and "only" awarded him the $3.5.

There's a lot of proof that shows it could have been an inside job. Not only the video Loose Change, but also the fact that we needed a reason to get into Iraq and subsequently Iran and Syria. My government teacher was telling us last semester that in order for us to get into Iran we're going to need a pretty big reason to go, so we should expect something similar to 9/11 happening again...

Scary thought.

Assuming that it was a gigantic conspiracy involving hundreds of people, how is it that not a single person has come forward or slipped up and revealed the conspiracy? Wouldn't a person have basically a blank check from any major news organization if they could provide evidence of a conspiracy involving hundreds of Americans, including but not limited to the highest people in the government, to commit a treasonous attack on our own country? 9/11 conspiracies hold about as much water as the theories that the moon landing was faked.

 

Well I watched the first video and while there are some good presentations, but unfortunately there is a lot of clever editing to take people's comments out of context.

The only 'conspiracies' I really believe in during 9/11 -- the pilots and navigators of the planes received extensive training in their homeland of Saudi Arabia. It is not possible to fly large commercial airliners so far and so accurately without a great deal more experience then those men allegedly received in Florida.

The second thing that bothers me is the collapse of tower 7 -- the relatively small fire alone does not make sense IMO. Perhaps the fall of the towers created a stronger seismic event in that area coupled with fire caused the collapse -- very strange the way that building fell though.
