Just want to get a consensus of the board. I love Watt, but I'd take Luck over him. Franchise QB is more valuable IMO.

Luck would make some of our receivers look like TY Hilton.

Watt is a more dynamic talent and I love him, but an elite QB effects games more. I'd do the trade yesterday.

Same here - Watt is my favourite NFL player of all time but I would pull the trigger on that one.
Colts would never do it though. If they did it would likely cost us two first rounds for the next two drafts as well and that would hurt too much.
Watt and the first in 2015 would be worth it.

If you take Luck off the Colts they wouldn't win 5 games. Nothing on defense, average rbs, and his only serious weapon is a 5'9 wr.

A quarterback touches the ball every single time on offense. I'd rather have a dominant once in a generation type talent at QB than on the Defensive line.

That being said this trade will never happen. The better question is would you trade J.J. for a plethora of draft picks a la the Herschel Walker trade the Cowboys made with the Vikings.

I'd consider receiving some first, second and third rounders for him in order to parlay into other draft picks / more players that can help the team. Texans are quite a few players away from competing for a Super Bowl IMHO. Would probably be a PR disaster though. Watt is the face of the franchise right now but imagine the amount of picks the Texans could get for him.

We could offer our whole roster and they would say no.

yup, because luck is a coach too. he is the one that called for an onside kick and recovered it.
all his greatness and he still threw a pick to give you the ball, then fumbled it. the texans dbs make hilton the best receiver to play the game. Dan orlavsky could have lined up under center and hilton would have still made our secondary look like peewee football players

i agree with bam bam, why not have both.
Luck, aj, foster and hopkins on offense.

    could have richard sherman too.
watt, clowney, cushing, joseph, richard sherman!

Too bad we suck at drafting outside of Watt . I don't our management enough for that to happen. And I don't think anyone is going fall for that pick clause again.

Luck and Rodgers are the only 2 players I'd trade him for. Luck isn't as good as advertised yet though, makes too many mistakes. I'm still taking Manning, Brees, Rodgers, Brady, and a few others in a bubble.
