Now that the Hornets have signed a new GM and Clutchfans' preferred main target Chris Paul wants out of New Orleans, i think Morey would consider making a strong push in acquiring him. We have the trade assets.

If we do give up a ton to bring him (which I don't mind) he better sign an extension.

We are not on his list of teams, so, what has recent history taught us about that?

Why would the GM for the Hornets trade their star play to a divisional rival? Makes no sense. Not happening.

Did I miss something? I could not find any mention of Houston targeting him in the article.

There's no point in him signing an extension until he at least knows Yao is ok, else he'd just leave when his contract is up anyway.

My money is the lakers or magic.

Finally a proposal that's realistic. The Hill/Budinger/Jeffries/Anderson etc. proposals have no chance. It's going to take 2 of our top guys + probably 2 picks to make this happen. I don't think throwing in second unit players or cap relief will get it done.

Hate to be lazy, but who was included on his list? I don't recall seeing one previously.

    From the link:

"Paul's list of preferred destinations consists of the Knicks, Magic and Lakers, and members of his inner circle already have sent word to the Hornets of his desire to be traded to one of those teams, sources say. If Paul has his way, he's played his last game in a Hornets jersey. "

No Houston, and whomever said until Yao's status is figured out no one will come here, is 100% spot on....

Do not use an iPad as a recruiting tool

I would trade any combo of players on this team not named Yao to get Paul

Who cares, he's not a free agent and if you win championship (or even get to the Finals with him), then you'd have a good chance to resign him. Seriously, I'd would go all in with CP3.

I highly doubt he will want to play in Houston. I'm not going to follow this thread and get my hopes up again. These superstars just want to play with their friends.
