That's good shiznit right there. I loved the FIRST street fighter. I could not tell what the guy was saying because this was around the time I was "new" in the States.

    "What strength!"

As a kid, I was all about Guile. Guess I fell for their trap.

I always knew that Guile was specifically created for Americans, but they also gave him the most unique command imput in the game, being the charge fighter.

Nothing pissed people off more than me crouching in the corner

The channel is pretty solid. The only thing I did not know was the combos.

I thought the whole m bison, balrog, vega was common knowledge.

How in the f**k do you do those moves while maintaining a charge?

I tried everything I could to combo into a charge, simply wasn't happening.

crazy crazy timing. you're having to charge and pull up while timing the fierce press with the kick button at the right frames. Something i've been able to do once every blue moon.

great stuff. i never played street fighter 1 but accomplished an imaginary black belt in street fighter 2. ryu had the best ending. he didn't even accept the trophy when he won, just walked into the sunset.

    thanks for playing!

I own at this game. For many, many years. I used to ride my bike up to McDonalds on HWY6 and put quarters in over and over again. I became so good, I used to go to Memorial City mall at Tilt, put 1...thats right, 1 quarter in and sit for hours at a time. Sometimes beating the game in one sitting, other times beating everybody who challenged me.

I did tournaments in Houston and Dallas, usually got in the top 10 in the state. I had every single version on SNES, PS and PS2. I got the Turbo HD remix, and at one point was top 3-7 in the world on that game...

The key is timing, knowing what moves are cancel moves and maximizing the available button combinations. Everybody was so hung up on the HK and HP buttons, but never realized how incredibly powerful the WK/WP buttons were.

Good times. To this day, I still play turbo HD remix online often. Just not often enough. Gotta keep up with the grown up life.

This though, was my series. My game. My life when I was 14-20.

I might have to break out my Super Nintendo console sitting in my closet and play some SFII.
