They serve different purposes. FACEBOOK is free, so don't complain about how your content is related, unless you buy promotional packages. It is mostly for interactive and "social" feedback and communication in regards to what your interests are. There's no real "fully customizable" Facebook site... A dedicated domain and website is FULLY customized... can have WordPress, or just regular HTML. Wordpress can be installed on your fully-hosted site if your hosting company allows it or includes it in its package. It's fairly easy to maintain, and it must be secured... but you don't have to worry if you leave sensitive information out. Tumblr... well... I don't know much about that. I think TEENAGERS rule it. In any choice you make: Get someone who knows what they're doing and let them manage it for you if you don't know how they work... let them teach you so you can take over after they're done.
