[rant] Okay, this certainly isn't a new phenomenon, so I was just curious if it was really rubbing anyone else the wrong way: EVERY time something goes wrong with Houston sports (Yao's hurt, T-Mac's hurt, the team is on a losing streak, whatever), several not-so-clever journalists just can't resist writing the headline and/or starting sentence and/or picture caption as "Houston has a problem" or "Houston, we have a problem" or "Houston, you have a problem." We get it. Seriously. It was clever about 800 years ago. There should be 10-year ban on this phrase in connection with Houston sports just to force writers to come up with something else. Anything else. [/rant]
they finally write something about rocket. and yao's injury is good excuse for them because they totally forgot to write something about rox recent success
Just ignore them. I actually like us to be under the radar as long as we keep destroying our opponents.
Dude....i think i know why we have all this injuries and bad timing. It's the CURSE of Rick Adelman!! While being a long time Kings fan, I know when he was with the Kings, the Kings have had players injured at crucial moment in the season. For example, in one of the Playoffs against Dallas, Chris Webber was injured while they were playing well and leading the series too....and in the great GREAT series against the Lakers, Peja was out in one the games i believe. And believe it or not, the reason the Kings failed to win the BIG prize year after year is because there is always some sort of injuries to one of their BIG contribute stars while they were on a roll and having success. And this is the single biggest reason they were break apart and being traded due to to being frustrated and were never giving a chance. They use the lack of success as a scapegoat for their problem rather than looking at the curse of injury.
Not to mention the inevitable opposing fan that thinks it's such an ingenious and original sign, who always seems to show up on national tv when we loose a lead.
Meh it's just the good ol' media whoring out unclever quotes and/or puns such as adding the suffix -gate to any sort of scandal.
I have a problem with this statement on several levels. My main objection is calling the people who contribute to the Chron journalists.
