Brooks and Kevin Martin together are a coaches dream when it comes to getting a team into foul trouble.

I can clearly see why Morey wanted these two on the roster. Neither are defensive players, but what both do very well possess is the ability to take any one to the hoop at their position and get to the line.

Aaron Brooks is clearly our starting pg after seeing Lowry is action these past 2 games. Sucks that we don't get him back for another 4-6 weeks. We need him.

Brooks has always been poor at drawing fouls.

Thats true he need to learn to look for contact and flop and he will be a superstar on offense.

But Brooks and KM can really put pressure on the other team black court.

We show we can't contain any good PG, no matter who started, but at least Brooks, KM combination will match or outscore the other team back court. And Lowry can come and beat the other team back up.

What Kevin martin needs to do is issue a partial refund on my cable bill.

NBA League Pass seems to have a blackout policy against him during the 4th quarters.

14-20 actually, that's 34 games they've played together and they are barely above .400

    it doesn't work.

Whether lowry works is yet to be seen but we know brooks and martin does not work.

Lowry has no ability to draw fouls...

Not against elite pg's... Brooks DOES very well in the FT department when facing elite pg's teams. Go look at box scores from last year. Brooks can get to the line when he gets aggressive and his drawing foul rate % is pretty high against elite pg's or their teams.

Brooks does very well in drawing fouls when he gets aggressive, I dunno what you people are talking bout.

What KM needs is a set of balls.

Kevin Martin needs to realize that when it gets late in the 4th quarter he should look to actually score instead of flopping his way to a foul. Still don't understand why he doesn't realize this.

All you have to do is look at the stats. Per 36 minutes, Lowry averaged 5.4 free throw attempts compared to Brooks who averaged 3.7.

And that is the only thing Lowry can do is create fouls so that is expected. If Brooks was aggressive as much as Lowry kind of is... then Brooks would have well over 5FTA a game.

The difference between Lowry and Brooks is that Brooks is WAYYYYYYYYY smarter at knowing WHEN to draw the foul, instead of just automatically looking for a foul.

Brooks exposed Parker. Brooks has broken down both Deron Williams and Chris Paul by fouling them out. Brooks has destroyed a heavily touted All Star Devin Harris by exposing him, Brooks has fouled out damn near every elite PG in the NBA. That is the difference between Lowry and Brooks when it comes to drawing fouls.

Kyle Lowry can not get to the FT Line when it counts most like Aaron Brooks can.

Lowry has been awful, and it will be extremely difficult to win a championship with both Kevin Martin and Aaron Brooks playing heavy minutes.

We either need to upgrade our defense at the 3-4-5, or we need to upgrade the size of our team in the backcourt.

When they were all healthy last year they didn't have to log heavy minutes. Both Brooks and Lowry have had to log heavier minutes in their games this year due to the other not being there.

I'll make further judgement when these guys see what they can do when all or most of the pieces are there. We have had 3 of the top 8 or 9 guys out the past week. Of the 11 games this team has played this year there hasn't been a single game where the point guard rotation has been as it should be. Lowry may have played early but he is still getting to where he needs to be due to missing the preseason with injury.

And is drawing one more foul (or two more free throws per game) really considered "way more"? Come on now, its fairly evident Kyle Lowry is not starting PG material. The fact that there are threads now stating Ish should start over him should speak volumes. Dude is flat out horrible this year, and if starting would be the WORST starting point guard in the NBA. Can you say the same about Aaron?
